Looks great on video, but I wish the bag was 10x the size...
We shot a short story using this to simulate light snowfall. It looked great and moved naturally like real snow while falling. However we only got one take, because the entire bag was empty in 2-3 seconds. We scooped it up off the ground for a second take, but that was really laborious. To do what we wanted (a closeup shot with snow falling only in the foreground), we could have used 5 gallons of the stuff. But of course that would have been way too expensive. So if I have another project like this, I'll reluctantly buy again and make sure I buy a lot more. I just wish it wasn't so expensive for a small bag.If you're decorating a static set and want to show snow on the ground or on plants, you'll need a whole of it too. Also I don't think it'd look convincingly like real snow if you got really closeup and it wasn't moving. Speaking of moving, it is very very lightweight and would blow around just with the wind created by walking. If that's the effect you want, great, but if you want a static decoration, this might not look realistic or be too messy. Just something to consider.

Save your money over priced. b
I am extremely disappointed with this company. I have purchased several bags of the snow all of it is pretty much the same some it’s just a little bit smaller than others. The majority of them are all about the same weight as this one is. But this company is charging you $25 for a bag that the rest of the companies are only charging $5.95 for. There are many options to choose from for this type of snow on Amazon and majority of them I have purchased over the years are pretty much the same quality. I feel that the price of this company is charging for such a small bag and believe me it is a very small bag I have a normal 6 foot tree and it only covered 1/3 of it unless you barely want to see the snow you will not get your entire tree covered. My opinion is that they are pushing that this particular snow was used in all the different movies. However plastic is plastic artificial snow to me is artificial snow strictly my opinion. But however I have been buying this artificial snow for the last 25 years and I I have tried a variety of samples from many different companies to me this one is not worth the price.

Highest quality artificial snow, for when only the best will do
There's snow and then there's snow. If you're looking for the highest quality artificial snow for your displays, films or television, SNO-FX! should definitely merit consideration. Looking at the individual "flakes", they do indeed look real...even when examining up close. The manufacturer, Thomas FX, has been making artificial snow and special effects for decades now. Their website says they have a patented proprietary in-house machine that creates the realistic fake snow. Looking at the list of movies who have used their snow is like a who's who of big name movies: The Hateful Eight, The Revenant and others. Highly recommended!

No cleanup...
Bought them instead of rice for my son's wedding. Everyone loved it. They are biodegradable so there was no clean up afterwards.

Realistic!
Used this for our winter family photos when it was 60 degrees outside. It photographed really well and looks VERY realistic. I purchased it because it is biodegradable...no guilt when we were tossing it around at the park.

Waste of money
Don’t waste the money. Unless you plan on having a bunch of what looks like styrofoam pellets on your yard or in your house. Don’t do it.
