Great Cameras Great Price!
The media could not be loaded. I have owned many brands of trail cameras, some of which I have paid 3 times as much for as this brand. I own 3 of their original 14 MP model and just received the 20 MP model. The picture and video were taken with the 14 MP model as I haven't set up the new one yet. However I expect just as good if not better results. Extremely satisfied with these products. Even the more expensive cameras didn't produce as good of pictures or videos and most had no viewing screens. I have taken almost 2000 pics with one of the 14 MP models and it's still going strong.Pros:Ease of set up, Large viewing screen for in-field review, wide angle for better animal capture, great accessories. The larger SD card provided with the 20 MP model is easier to load into camera that the mini SD ones in the 14 MP models.ConOnly one minor thing. The mini SD card is a bit hard to insert into 14 MP cameras in field. Drop it and your generally looking for it in high grass or leaves.

Decent camera, but not really 20mp
I bought one when it was on sale, so I got a great deal. Time will tell how well it holds up but it seems sturdy enough. It includes a strap as well as a nice little mounting plate. It is easy to use and the 16gb SD card came formatted and ready to go.Now for the cons:The current version, built after Dec 2018, has visible red light coming from the LEDs which is kinda noticeable. So it's not good for a stealthy security camera; if you are trying to catch thieves and trespassers, chances are they will see it and take it down.Second, the camera sensor is only 5mp, even though it makes a 20mp image file, the detail doesn't improve when set above 5mp, it just fills the card faster. If you need 20mp detail, this is not the camera for you.Lastly, this camera cannot run on normal (1.2v) rechargeable AA batteries.

FULL SIZE SD CARD! Solid performing trail cam and easy to setup.
Four stars for good overall performance where it counts, but had to deduct a star due to an issue with image preview on the built - in screen, described further down in this review. Here are some good points that I found :- came with a 16GB SD card how cool is that?- it uses FULL SIZE SD cards and not those tiny micro SD that are almost impossible to handle especially in the middle of winter in the field and God forbid you drop one of those suckers pretty much gone at that point.- the default settings are right on target and the box is ready to use right out of the box, however I made a few adjustments to suit my preferences. In particular, the default rate of re-detection is one minute, so that means that after an initial detection it waits for a whole minute before it will respond to another motion activation. I set it to the minimum which is 5 Seconds.- easy to set up and test the motion detection range and sensitivity, which seems to be quite good, as I was able to detect myself walking in the back of my property which is about 60 feet away or so in total darkness. Daytime detection seems to be solid as it captured a 4-point buck in my backyard and it snapped off a couple 20-megapixel pictures as well as recorded a video or two.- instant preview of recorded snapshots and videos is convenient, and it also has the ability to zoom into photos as well.- nighttime sensitivity seems to be good. It picked up my walking at the back of my property 60 feet away and I could see myself clearly on the video. Captured some deer at night also. The images/videos seem to be brighter in the center of the field and the edges were not quite as bright which seems to be fairly typical for most brands.A couple of less-than-ideal items...- the image sharpness was not as good as other sample images users have posted from the 14 megapixel foxelli unit. 20mp isn't much use if pixels are blurry. It's not horrible by any means just not as sharp as I expected. I read somewhere that the native resolution of the camera is closer to 5mp. I will try to post some pics...- not sure what locale the camouflage pattern was intended for but it is way too light for typical trees in Ohio. Plus with it being so light the LED array, lens and the passive detectors really stand out and it becomes very easy to spot by people who might want to take it.- the unit makes an audible click when motion is detected. Not super loud but I would be concerned that nearby animals might get scared away or it would alert its existence to nearby people if close to unit.- the LEDs are human visible at a distance of 20 to 30 ft. I would expect the 940 nanometer LEDs at this price point.- while previewing images/videos on the built - in screen, the unit has hopelessly locked up on several occasions, requiring removal of the batteries. (even switching to "off" had no effect, it just stayed on, but unresponsive). As long as the unit doesn't lock up while in capture mode this shouldn't be a deal breaker.**** UPDATE **** The fine folks at Foxelli provided a firmware update which was easy to apply, however unfortunately the lockup problem persists.I'll probably get one of the 14 megapixel units so that I have something to directly compare to, but except for the image preview problem, this should do a good job detecting various animals on the trail. This is a real review btw... I'm not reimbursed in any way for anything here

Great little camera and responsive, friendly company
I bought a trail camera once, for twice the price of this one, and never managed to make it work. I'm sure it was me, not the camera, but there was no support and I eventually abandoned it. I was recommended to this camera by a friend, who has the smaller model. It comes packed with care. it's well designed. It has a simple, detailed little instruction book which, if you follow it carefully (as I did after a couple of tries winging it - during which I contacted the folks and got friendly help) you will be able to pop in your card, initialize it, set your time, date and photo quality preferences. You can easily strap it to a tree or whatever, turn it on, walk away and the next morning see nice, clear, video and stills -- if there's been anything moving. I'm very happy with it!
