Sabrent 1TB TLC Gen. 4 NVMe SSD

I'm extremely happy with my purchase of the SABRENT 2TB Rocket Nvme PCIe 4.0 M.2 2280 SSD. It's a beast of a drive that delivers blazing-fast performance and plenty of storage space for all my games and files. It was easy to install on my motherboard that supports PCIe 4.0, and it came with a free cloning software that helped me transfer my data from my old drive. The SABRENT Rocket Nvme PCIe 4.0 SSD has an impressive sequential read speed of up to 5,000 MBps and a sequential write speed of up to 4,400 MBps, which is much faster than any SATA or PCIe 3.0 SSD I've ever used. It also has a high endurance rating of up to 3,600 TBW, which means it will last me for years without any degradation or failure. The drive looks sleek and stylish with its black PCB and gold sticker, and it comes with a 5-year warranty if you register it online within 90 days of purchase. I also like that it supports NVMe 1.3 protocol, SMART and TRIM functions, and firmware updates. This thing is nuts. Crazy fast. I'm not running bench marks or anything, but I loaded Windows 10 on it and I've never seen a system boot up so fast. Blows my mind every time. I'm used to waiting a while and then getting into windows and then its still thinking for a while. This one is just zap! Done! Very cool. Only game I've installed is Diablo 3, all my other games will be on steam and are waiting for another sabrent NVME M.2 drive, this time PCIE 3.0 QLC 2tb. Diablo 3 runs great. I've had bad luck w SSD drives connected by SATA. They just don't work or die early. My firecuda 2tb hybrid ssd drive could never even be detected, was causing electrical problems, blinking rgb lights or computer turning off, so forget it. I ordered another sabrent nvme drive for my other m.2 slot, about the cheapest 2tb NMVE one for games PCIE 3.0, because now I trust that they work, not the fastest of its kind but super fast. I don't trust SSD and mechanical drives are too big and slow and louder, so I'm paying some more for what I know will work. Should not improve gaming too much from what I hear, maybe loading times idk, I just need it to work and didn't want a mechanical drive. Done with SSDs connected by SATA chords. Plugging storage straight to the motherboard now. I have a ROG Strix-E motherboard so it has thermal pads w fan and covering to cool both m.2 drives already. Should be fine. Sabrent is a brand I've only now heard of. If these two drives continue to impress me like the first one has so far, for the last few weeks, and not crap out right away, I will really trust and recommend Sabrent drives in the future. So far so good!

Sabrent Storage drives in my personal opinion are the best drives I have used in multiple situations... This is for the purchase I made of x2 1TB Sabrent Rocket Nvme PCIe 4.0 Gen4 M.2 Drives... I bought both of these one night when they were having a quick sale with half off the original pricing... I was building a new PC and grabbed them while I could... They have been nothing but reliable and super fast! I use them in my Gigabyte Motherboard M.2 Slots #2 & #3 as Storage & Backup. (My Slot #1 holds a 500MB Samsung 980 Pro I grabbed when that was on sale just for my OS) I would've added another Sabrent M.2 drive like these 1TB models as my OS however I wanted to test out Samsungs high end M.2 as so far only Sabrent & Samsung have been the best choices from all the research I've gone thru... Its just Samsung usually gets 2nd place with me vs Sabrent due to cost but when there's a sale that's different at times... These each have a capacity of 1TB & the software used with them to analyze the drives and keep them updated runs perfectly fine... I've had zero issues with Sabrent Drives and will continue to purchase them... If anyone is interested in an awesome external USB-C (to usb-c or to usb-a it has 2 cables) I would check out the Sabrent 1TB Rocket Nano External SSD Drive! My gaming PC was very slow, boot times were killing me. I was at the point of throwing in the towel and getting a new PC just to stop the pain. I did some research and found that a solid state drive may solve my problems. I purchased the Sabrent 2TB and never looked back. After the install my PC, it felt like I was dealing with a brand new computer. Everything felt faster and I wasn't pulling my hair out because things too forever to load. With 2TB you will not have to worry about running out of space.

For amazon, it's worth mentioning I actually got what I ordered! It really is a heck of a lot faster than my older 970 EVO, but the difference is only something you're going to notice in specific scenarios and mostly if you're looking for it. What sold me on the upgrade is the warranty and lifespan which is advertised as better. It is really an amazing value. I wish I had a 10tb sabrent rocket nvme 4.0 as my SATA drives are soooo slow compared to these. Heat hasn't been an issue really as my motherboard has a heatsink/fan thing with thermal pads on the copper heat spreader (another huge plus imo) this Sabrent 10tb nvme comes with. Video editing : I do video editing and I didn't realize how much my SATA drive was holding me back especially on renders. When outputting to NVME, I noticed my render times dropped dramatically. I should not be surprised because the renders I've noticed this on are 10bit huge files, but it is worth mentioning that a video card upgrade may cause your hard drive to become a bottleneck.

I compared this to many other NVMe drives on the market and was looking to upgrade from my older Gen3 500gb offbrand NVMe I was using as my boot drive. I considered the industry accepted "go-to's" Samsung and Western Digitals of the memory world, but I decided to give Sabrent a try as the price to performance wasn't matched by anyone else in the segment. I am glad I did. Cloning my boot drive with Sabrent's Acronis software could not have been easier, a couple of clicks and I was done. Moving my OS (Windows 10) and relevant data from the old drive to the new was easy, ridiculously easy. I now have a much faster (Rocket is an appropriate name) drive, with more storage for a relatively low price. My OS loads quicker, games and programs I have installed on this drive have faster load and response times, and moving huge files happens FAST. I am so impressed I am planning on ordering two more and populating all my M.2 slots and maybe running a RAID set up. While it is not a make it or break item I did like the tin case it was shipped in, packaging was a nice touch, and the Acronis software available for download is a value add as well. If your in the market for NVMe Gen 4 M.2 drive I would highly recommend this product. Please make sure your motherboard has PCIexpress 4.0 (Gen4) M.2 slot (although this is backwards compatible and will work in a Gen3 M.2 slot, albeit with a reduced bandwidth). Note I am using this on a B550 Aorus Master motherboard.

In terms of hardware functionality and performance, it meets my unreasonably high expectations. That was once I got it to clone properly, that is. I gave it 3 stars for installation for this reason: there is an issue with Sabrent's cloning software that will cause several steps to move the process forward before they have actually completed their copy phase. This results in a bootable but non-functioning installation of Windows to be written to the SSD, causing an "sihost.exe hardware error" crash to occur upon logging in to what is an unresponsive/flickering desktop. This has apparently been a problem for several people, but luckily there is a suggested workaround on Reddit- download the free version of Macrium Reflect and it will clone your existing drive onto the Rocket 4.0 without issue. Of course, this is only necessary if you intend on cloning an existing system and its associated filestructure. If doing a clean install of an OS or using it as a data drive for games/graphics editing etc, following the traditional process as you would with any other drive, the bug is related specifically to the cloning software. Other than that WOOT! Faster than my 970 Evo Plus (on paper...i can't tell any speed increase during use but thats only because the 970 was already moving faster than human perception can cognitively sense. So yes it was an unnecessary upgrade. But I like my nerd loot)

I purchased the Sabrent 1TB Rocket for my personal gaming rig. I am a personal fan of Samsung drives but I thought I would try Sabrent because it was comparable in read/writes and I've purchased several Sabrent external drive enclosures and other products of there's in the past with minimal problems. It worked great for the 11 months I had it up until just yesterday, 9-4-2021 my computer hung during a game and my motherboard stopped recognizing the nvme. I reinserted it and my mobo saw it, tried to boot, then the nvme disappeared again from the recognized devices in the BIOS so computer hung again. So I plugged it into another computer using an nvme external enclosure. I was able to read it so I started copying the raw data from the drive over and at about 35% of copying the drive it dropped off again. Plug and play, plug and play I tried to get more data off but it kept disconnecting. I ran it through a sector test with HD Tune Pro and within the first 5 minutes it found bad sectors. I attempted to chkdsk /f /x /r it and after running for about 30 minutes and finding all sorts of bad sectors and attempting to repair it, the drive finally bit the dust and wouldn't show any signs of life. I have never seen such an unreliable nvme before. Sure, there are lemons out there, which is likely what I received considering it only lasted 11 months. But there was also no warning of a decaying or corrupted drive. The Sabrent software is terrible with limited information. It doesn't monitor the drive at all so it can warn consumers of a problem. And you really can't do anything with the software. It is nothing like the Samsung Magician software that you get with Samsung drives. And I've had several Samsung drives and they have never failed me and some are going on 8 years. The Sabrent drive flat out died with no warning and only lasted 11 months. Luckily I am very thorough with my backups and I had a full bare-metal backup from my Synology DS220+ NAS using Active Backup for Business that was only 6 days old. I purchased a Samsung 980 Pro, performed the restore and was up and running within 24 hours thanks to Amazon's awesome same day shipping. Bottom line, lemon or not, I am extremely disappointed in the Sabrent brand. I've never owned a HDD/SSD/NVMe that bit the dust within the first year. Never.

Ça faisait des années que j'hésitais à prendre un ssd, travaillant dans le domaine musical je n'en voyais pas tant l'intérêt, mais ça m'a changé la vie. Même si évidemment mes projets chargent toujours pour s'ouvrir, le temps est conciderablement réduit (4x plus vite qu'avant). Windows se lance en 5s, et ça tient presque de la magie. Je suis impressionné de la performance d'un si petit composant. Livré dans un packaging PARFAIT, vraiment PARFAIT. Étant un grand adapté de la valorisation client, avoir reçu mon ssd dans une boîte en metal de la même couleur que celui ci, bien gardé à l'abri des chocs dans un '' support '' en mousse, une notice très simple et efficace, un mot d'accueil et de remerciement, j'aime énormément,en plus la boîte peut être utilisée pour d'autres choses ! Simple à installer, à configurer moins évident car il faut l'activer dans les paramètres Windows, et simple d'utilisation évidemment, je vous le conseille absolument. Si vous hésitiez encore avant de lire ce commentaire, je vous en pris, foncez !

This is a very fast hard drive , have used as a internal drive in Macbook Pro with adaptor and also as a external drive using enclosure.. although heats up to some extent...works great... highly recommended
