Legitimately got me back into playing Pokemon Go.
The Pocket Egg Pair is legitimately one of the best third-party Pokemon Go Plus alternatives on the market. Much like Datel's Go-tcha, this device functions like an automatic Pokemon Go Plus, which makes it super convenient to play when focusing on other tasks. I've found its automated functionality most useful while riding a bus since it allows me to chill while still catching a lot of Pokemon and hitting Pokestops without having to open the game.In terms of build quality, I expected it to feel cheap and hollow. However, it has a good sense of weight and quality plastic. While pairing it to the game was easy, it took me a bit to fully understand the functionality of the device and its LED colors. One of the most important things I will note is that the blue LED enables one-player mode, while the white LED enables the two-player mode. The provided instructions go more in-depth and clearly outline what each LED represents and how they function. The only real problem I've encountered was some Bluetooth connection issues. However, I am unsure if this is an issue with the game or the device itself. A simple reset of the device's pairing settings solved many connection issues. Unfortunately, I don't have two phones to test its two-player functionality, so I cannot say anything about that yet.Overall, I found the Pocket Egg Pair to be an excellent way to get back into Pokemon Go. I'd highly recommend it if you need an easy and convenient way to play the game if you're on the go, and you don't want to stare at your phone regularly.

Most reviews i have seen are misinformed
This product is great as a tool for progressing while you wouldn’t otherwise be able to. The other reviews seem to have a slight misunderstanding and After testing the pocket egg I’d like to give my thoughts:-“Device doesn’t stay connected”: this isn’t a problem with the pocket egg. This is by design as the game will automatically disconnect you after one hour. You have to reconnect every hour. This can be done in the game settings.-When catching Pokémon you MUST have poke balls to catch. The pocket egg will not throw great balls or ultra balls.-The pocket egg will catch Pokémon while you drive-manually catching Pokémon has a higher success rate than pocket egg catching Pokémon. This is by game design.-Not very great at spinning stops while driving or riding a bus but is still better at spinning stops than i am on the busI work in a kitchen as a cook and I’m between 1-2 pokestops (always 1 but depending on the gps positioning I’ll walk between another nearby one) and i started with 60 poke balls. At the end of my 8 hour shift with all the Pokémon it tried to catch and a lackadaisical effort to reconnect i clocked out with 68 pokeballs. The instruction booklet comes in many different languages and was hard for me to figure out how to turn the “chirp” or beeping off. While it says it in the booklet, i thought I’d share how to anyways. You short press the button until the light is green. Press and hold (long press) for 3 seconds and the chirp will turn off. You’ll need to do this every time you turn the egg from “off” to “on” but not between reconnecting to the game.Hope this helps and enjoy

Unreliable and Unable to fulfill its primary marketing point
Have had this for a couple weeks now. It typically pairs with my main device on the first attempt. It almost never pairs with my secondary device (which connects to Go-tcha almost every time without having to troubleshoot); this completely negates the need for this product over any other single-device unit altogether. (3 star deduction) Also, it often stops any attempt at auto-spin/auto-catch, or even identifying either scenario, while still showing as connected. (1 star deduction) It does not respond to interrupting commands very well either. The design and materials are average in quality, battery life is very good and I find the input methods (buttons/lights) on the egg to be relatively easy to use. Overall, this product is extremely unreliable and is unable to fulfill its primary marketing point, which is particularly disappointing given its over-inflated price tag. If anyone is looking for an item such as this, I would highly recommend pursuing a different product; perhaps Go-tcha, but it does have it's own frustrations, too.

Fantastic dohicky
I love this thing. It works great for quickly grabbing things as I drive by (it's faster than manually spinning/catching, all devices catch at the same speed - that's the game design). I live near a park with 15 stops, so I drive through on my way to work with spinning only activated in the pogo settings and I can cruise through at nearly 20mph and it spins everything. Then when I get to work (Walmart, which has tons of pokemon around) I turn catching back on and let'er rip.I use rechargeable Ni-MH AAs (Enloop generic from Amazon Basics) and I've had it go for a couple weeks on a single pair of batteries, switched on continuously so it's always ready for me to connect. FYI, I've noticed it starts disconnecting more when the batteries are getting low. Only bad thing I've noticed is sometimes the slidey power switch can catch on stuff in my pocket and turn off, and sometimes I've noticed when I jostle more (ie. getting out of the car) it can disconnect. As other reviews have said, the PoGo+ interface with the game has certain limitations by design so that it's not too overpowered. It only uses red balls, it only throws 1 ball and it either catches or it doesn't (meaning you're more likely to catch lower level, easy pokemon, but it's great for easy stardust), the game disconnects the device after an hour, and above a certain speed (20-25mph) it just doesn't work. This device simply automates the button press from the official PoGo+ device. (also means there's still the annoyingly long pairing time)Overall, it's fantastic: it's slim and fits in my pocket well, great battery life, reasonably stable connection, and it's always available when I hit the button in the game. Totally worth being able to catch pokemon as I spin, cruising through the park catching and spinning while I focus on driving, and vacuuming pokemon while I work.
