Yes, it came with all the thread that is pictured on Amazon. I was surprised by this, because it is not listed in the spec, but it came in the box.

Q: All I want it for is to hem pants, mostly jeans. Does it work well on these?

I don't have this machine, but since a normal size and normal powered machine can have trouble hemming jeans, I'd say this one wouldn't handle that job at all.
