Heavy, Sturdy Stand
This works much better than the original stand I had for my Off-Set Patio Umbrella! It is quite heavy when filled, so make sure you have it in a good spot before filling it up. Setup was pretty easy, with all the hardware needed to install my umbrella to this stand, and this stand doesn't blow over in the Texas windy days (unlike the previous stand I had). Water is good and heavy, but I used sand for that extra weight in the bottom.

Great investment for an expensive umbrella!
It is exactly what I hoped it would be. Purchased it to mount a new 10’ cantilever umbrella and it went together just fine. I attached the umbrella mount to the included metal cross bars and then to the base itself underneath as the instructions clearly show to do. Filled it with 145lbs of sand and it sits very sturdy.....yet I can still move it around on the deck fairly easy. I can swing the umbrella to the left or right as needed and the base keeps its place firmly on the ground. I am quite happy with it so far.

Worth the gamble...
I took a gamble on this product. I was needing a base for my 2 offset umbrellas and these fit my price range. There were no reviews yet, but I took a leap of faith. I have had no previous experience with Best Choice products, but I did know that when I bought my Costway umbrellas off another site, they also sold Best Choice.Shipping was quick, not 2 day Prime, but they came in 4 days. That was fine, didn’t need them right then anyhow. Boxes came very well packaged.Easy set up and install with my umbrella poles. I did have to change out the base crossbar of my umbrellas, because they were bigger than would fit the base and bolt up. The included ones bolted right up with my poles. Bolting the base to the crossbars, was slightly tricky on one side, like the threads were off, but went in just fine with a little bit of pressure. I filled with water, as that’s what I had in hand. I had originally wanted to put sand in, but my sand got wet and wouldn’t be able to fill properly. Water is just fine. Very sturdy and wind proven. Recently had some bad storms, stemming from tropical storm/hurricane/tropical storm Barry, with heavy winds. Umbrellas are still standing perfect, albeit they are not open, but in the open for straight line wind to hit them directly. My only issue is that they do not come with washers to bolt crossbars to plastic base. The provided screws, had small heads and did not cover the width of the screw holes. This is the only reason I didn’t not give 5 stars. Would definitely buy again, as long as they hold up!

Works good
Got this for my offset umbrella. Filled with water which works fine. The included cross bar did not fit my but it worked just fine with the base that was already on my umbrella.

Product is useless with Best Choice's own cantilever umbrellas
The base itself seemed sturdy and well made ... BUT ...We ordered this base to go along with Best Choice Cantilever umbrella - BCP SKU: SKY5251 - but the umbrella stand's bracket did not line up with the screw holes in the base. We contacted the company and asked if their other Cantilever umbrella -BCP SKU: SKY5711 - is compatible and they said, "NO." We also checked to see if a piece was possibly missing, but they said we should have all pieces. They recommend to use with their Market umbrella and provided BCP SKU: SKY3297.The base manual specifically states to use only with cantilever offset umbrellas.Unfortunately, we had to return since we couldn't find any cantilever umbrellas that would work with this base and the return window was coming up.Also, as someone else mentioned, the manual states not to move the base when it is full? Then what is the point of having wheels? sigh.

CAUTION - NECESSARY PARTS MISSING
Overall, the base is pretty decent. Assembly is relatively simple. The problem is, the designers did not realize that the bolts supplied product, require washers to make them hold in place if there is going to be any movement of the base whatsoever, after assembly. This device requires washers and Instruction on their use. Customer Service responded to my inquiry with several scripted replies, but they would rather have me go to the trouble of disassembling the item, packaging it and shipping it back, rather than send six cents worth of washers to make the assembly correct and sturdy enough for the long term.

Absolutely great at this price. Toe friendly.
Mine came undamaged and with all the hardware included. I previously used the stand that came with the umbrella and some concrete stepping stones for weight, but this is much better looking and much less likely to cause injury if you stub your toe on it. While it would be nice to be able to move the umbrella around when the base is full of water, I've only seen that on really expensive umbrellas. It's easy enough to drain some water, move it, and then refill it. It has both a fill plug and a drain plug and if you remove both the water comes out pretty quickly.

Worth the money
I returned this but not because of a defect. The umbrella from another manufacturer was the problem and I didn't buy another offset. This thing is very sturdy and heavy once filled. It's got wheels but still hard to move around my deck. I would highly recommend buying this for your offset umbrella rather than the plates. Good value for the money just wish it would work with non offset umbrellas and I would have kept it.
