Works like a charm!
Have been using green gobbler for years and wouldn't be without it. The liquid works just as well. Drain smells clean, any slowness of draining goes away. I drop one of the gobbler sticks down the drain about once a month and since I started using it years ago drains do not smell bad. Worth every penny.

Worked like a charm after 2nd dose
I will admit that I had my doubts if the green gobbler would work. After the 2nd application the toilet flushed properly again. I’m going to buy another set to use as a maintenance item from now now. The small box came complete with a declogging tool (didn’t have to use but could use in the sink or tub at a later time) and the packets. Worth every penny so I didn’t have to call a plumber.

Terrific Product!
These packets and reamers are top notch! I used one packet down the standpipe behind my washing machine. I had noticed the pipe it fed into was backing up before totally draining. After discussing it with a plumber, he told me I COULD run drain cleaner down the standpipe but to be sure to run a couple of gallons of hot water down after it to make sure the p-trap on the bottom of the standpipe gets flushed entirely of the drain cleaner. I did that, then ran a washing machine cleaner tab in hot water and it drained down that pipe. Downstairs I could hear the clog breaking down and now? NO MORE BACKUP. The powder was so easy to use over a liquid. Excellent product!

Don't let the negative reviews scare you -- this really does work
This really does a spectacular job of cleaning drains, as long as the clog is caused by the normal gunk that accumulates in the pipes. If you have a clog caused by tree roots, or if you pour grease down the drain (NEVER A GOOD IDEA), you need to get a plumber or a roto-rooter. That said, the directions could be a little better. What they tell you to do is correct. However, if you have a drain that drains slowly, but still drains, you need to do a little more than the directions say to do. Otherwise the crystals will just sit there in a pile at the top of the drain, damaging the fitting and the sink and not getting down into the pipe where the clog is. I can only assume that with standing water, they would dissolve and start working on the clog without these extra steps. But I had an issue with a slow-draining clog. I solved it by doing the following:1. Using a long screwdriver and needle-nose pliers I pulled out as much hair and gunk at the top of the drain as I could. (There are crossbars at the top of the pipe so the hair remover that came with the Green Gobbler didn't fit. Otherwise I would have used that.)2. Having made a small space without gunk, I poured about a tablespoons of Green Gobbler in -- just enough to come up a little over the top of the drain.3. Next I slowly poured water on the crystals until they started to dissolve and go down. At this point I could tell it was already starting to work by the smell. Whew!4. I repeated step 3 over and over until I was finally able to get the entire PAC of crystal down into the drain. This took a lot of patience, but it was worth it.5. Once the entire PAC was in the drain, I poured just enough water to remove any crystals that might be still sitting in the sink itself or on the drain fitting. And to be safe, I wiped it all off with a paper towel.6. After a half hour, I poured a quart of boiling water down the drain.7. At this point the drain was much better, but still needed some more work. So I repeated the steps above with a second PAC of Green Gobbler. This time it only took me three pours to get all the crystal down into the pipe.8. After pouring another quart of hot water down (following a 30 minute wait), the water went down the drain freely. The smell was completely gone and the pipe/drain itself looked sparkly clean.Hope this helps anyone who has reservations about whether this product actually works and is worth the money. Definitely! I just ordered a half-gallon so that I can use this to keep all of our drains free of clogs.
