VERY COOL GUN
Had a gun from harbor freight, you know the one it's yellow, wasn't bad but after getting this one all my problems went away......first off the price is great for this gun, shipping and quality follow right along.......love this gun for the size,it's much smaller than the harbor freight one and that makes it easier to get into tight spots.the duel voltage took away my coating problems ,I found it super hard to get powder into joints or where two items come together......the bottle being under the gun as opposed to the top is also nice......the activation button is way better than the foot pedal as I have zapped myself with the pedal before......I also bought the extra bottles and love the whole thing as a whole......I highly recommend this to anyone, whether a pro, semi pro,or just like to goof around with new things

The advantage is all in the powder cups...
The gun itself is 3, maybe 4 stars. Where it really shines, though, is the modular quick-change ability of the cups.As long as you use Eastwood powders, or at least their cups, swapping colors is relatively quick (minus gun cleaning). The issues I have with the gun are that the trigger is way too close to the installed cup. Makes holding cumbersome. A bigger gripe, though, is that the push button switch must be held in your other hand. Now, while I get that this is a safety feature (I've been zapped by the gun and man does it hurt), it should be a toggle switch or something. You can easily rig something up (or just tape the button), but from the box, having to hold the button in, with your other hand, is cumbersome. You can't rotate or maneuver your work if both hands are in use.The gun applies fine, however, and the dual voltage is nice for tricky areas. There are issues with the gun, but I just bought my second one to keep Flat Black (my busiest color) in it all the time. Still worth it at $115 plus shipping.

Five Stars
Good quality! I recommend using a small amount of power. A lot of waste if the bottle is full

Second coat issues.
This works fine for a single coat. It is easy to clean and change powder. It does not work well for a second coat such as clear on top of chrome. Most pro models shoot at almost double the kv of this unit. Hard to control a second coat.

powdercoating gun
I like the powdercoating gun itself but the on off switch stuck on the on position within the first two weeks I had it. I called the company ( Eastwood) and they told me that I would have to send the gun back to them. That ment I would be out a gun for 3 to 4 weeks. I asked them if they would just send me a new switch or buy one and was told they don't make parts for there powdercoating guns. Very happy with the works of the gun but not with Eastwood. Has a very cheep on,off switch.
