The best oatmeal
I can't remember where or when I first ate Silver Palate oatmeal, but I do remember that I decided there and then to find a source to buy my own supply and I've rarely been without a box on the shelf since. The porridge has a wonderful flavor, not like toasted oats, but earthier; a little bit nutty, and the texture balances perfectly between tender and chewy. These are definitely not 'instant' gelatinous oats, but they don't take forever to cook, either-- about nine minutes suits my taste to a "T". I like them either plain except for a bit of butter or with a drizzle of honey and a splash of 1/2&1/2, but they're equally good with fruit, nuts, brown sugar, syrups, jams, or whatever else imagination can conjure. Great product.

My new favorite oatmeal. Red Mill has flavor, texture, is reasonably priced, and easy to find. I love it.

One of the best oatmeal products
I like oatmeal for breakfast, but my local supermarkets stopped carrying Silver Palate, which, for my taste, is one of the best cereals with which to start the day. I have no negatives about it. It is thick and rough, but cooks up smoothly, no lumps. I am grateful that what I like is available online.

Was a friend's favorite porridge hard to get in local supermarkets so they were very very happy to receive this Christmas gift I kept it safe and secure and the original shipping package until Christmas time for 2024 and I gave it to them then. thank you

Received old product and it’s nonreturnable?!?
Received on 9/9/24 with an expiration date of 10/23/2024 and its “nonreturnable” what?!? Unacceptable. I want my money back or fresh product please.

My Favorite
Absolutely my favorite oatmeal. Too expensive to use for baking, but perfect for morning oatmeal with its somewhat chewy texture. I like it with a little brown sugar and pat of butter melting in a little golden pool. It's healthy and hardy - stays with me for hours.

Yes it is thick and chewy and I enjoyed it, but a bit over priced.
