Exact replacement for original part
This CBB61 1.5uF 450V AC motor-run capacitor is an exact replacement for the one that failed open-circuit in my nice big fan. It even has the same fixing lug sticking out from the base to enable one to bolt it down securely. The fan suddenly lost speed and buzzed quite loudly, a classic sign of a phase missing on a three phase motor, and that is what this capacitor does, it converts two wire mains into a pseudo three wire "three phase" for the motor. The old capacitor lasted ten years, hopefully this replacement should last the same, but I did buy two, just in case. I used some new Insulated Crimp Terminals identical to the originals to replace them after un-crimping them. This repair will then have the same standard of safety as originally manufactured.

A cheap and easy fix for my floor standing gym fan
My gym fan was running slow and barely working. Opened it up and wondered if it was the capacitor. Sure enough it was. Cheap easy fix. New fan is £50

Did the job
This fixed my expensive pool pump. Very easy to install and saved me £300 on a new pool sand filter.

Did what it was purchased for.
The motor capacitor on my workshop saw had failed after 24 years of service so I needed a replacement. Delivered in the usual fast time frame and installed it within minutes. Workshop saw now has a new lease of life and hopefully another 24 years of service.

Saved me £50
My 18" floor fan would only start to spin highest setting , and was like 1/5 the power it was when new, tested the Capacitor was only getting measurement of 0.2 when should have been 1.5 , swopped it out with this new one (5 minute job) fan is back as new.

Saved me money
Looked on YouTube for ceiling fan problem, purchased new capacitor, fitted it and BOOM I didn’t have to buy a new £150 fan.
