mmm like pina colada mix! also reviews of all the syntrax nectar flavors.
Caribbean Cooler is awesome. I love the taste. I put 4 ounces of frozen pineapple juice, and a little water and some ice in the blender along with my calcium powder and its like drinking a virgin pina colada. Makes getting my daily protein requirement in very nice.I ordered a sample pack directly from Syntrax and decided to review all the flavors here.Strawberry Mousse :I really liked this a lot. Mixed with 1% milk in a blender. Would probably be good with almond milk also. Nice Strawberry aroma when opening the package. The flavor reminded me of a strawberry shortcake ice cream bar. Pleasant and no weird aftertaste. Much better than Premier Protein strawberry flavor which I find pretty nasty. I will be adding this to my pantry.4.5 out of 5 stars.I think this would be good with fresh frozen strawberries added in a blender.Crystal sky: I loved the packaging. Blue with pictures of fruit all over it. Pineapples, watermelon, kiwi, grapes, strawberries. I had high hopes. Opened the package and the smell of Juicy Fruit gum hit my nostrils. (Do they even make Juicy Fruit Gum anymore?)Gag. But I soldiered on. Mixed with chopped ice and cold water. I'm sure that helped. Looked like a blue slushy but no it did not taste like one. I managed to consume it like a good RNY patient trying to be comply with her protein requirements.Unless you like Juicy Fruit gum I cannot recommend this flavor in any way shape or form. Ick. Hold your nose and swallow.1 star out of 5Lattes Cappucino:This one I had heard so many good things about and it did not disappoint. Smelled like coffee ice cream upon opening the envelope.Mixed it with cold 1% milk. Very very good! This flavor is outstanding. Someone here previously stated that they drank this hot and yes I think that would be excellent. I also was thinking if you chopped up frozen milk cubes in the blender and then mixed a small bit of cold milk and the powder it would be a coffee frappe!Definitely will order this!4.75 stars out of 5!Roadside Lemonade: didn't smell that lemony when I opened the envelope. (I drink a lot of sugar free Wylers lemonade so I was looking for that sort of flavor maybe?)Mixed with cold water.Eh. Not good but not undrinkable either. You have to wonder why they didn't add more ascorbic acid to the recipe for a proper lemony tang.....Not impressed enough to order.3 stars out of 5Chocolate truffle:Smelled like brownie mix when I opened the package. Mixed with cold 1% milk. Eh. Frankly not chocolately enough. Premier Protein chocolate is better. Not bad, just lackluster.3.5 out of 5 stars.Vanilla Bean:It was very good. When i opened it, reminded me of the smell of vanilla pudding. I mixed this with 1% milk. Nice flavor and has the possibilities of adding other flavors (almond extract) or using a blender with frozen fruitThis one would also be good with almond milk I think. I don't know about mixing straight with water.Overall very palatable and I will probably buy a container since it has a lot of other flavor options for creative cooks like myself.4.75 stars out of 5Cherry:Smelled like a cherry lollypop upon opening the package. Mixed with chopped ice and water in my blender. The actual flavor kind of reminded me of a Luden's cough drop when drinking it. I don't think I could drink this every day.2.5 stars out of 5. I won't be adding this flavor to my pantry.Fuzzy Navel:I have never actually had a Fuzzy Navel cocktail. I suspect this flavor does not come close, BUT I enjoyed it very much. Although I gather its supposed to be peach and orange flavor, I thought it reminded me much more of a mango.I mixed it with cold water. I suspect it would be very good with frozen banana, strawberries, or mango.I would definitely order this one.4.5 stars out of 5Cookies and Cream:mixed it with 1%milkI found it very palatable. It was actually pretty good.I think it would be good with almond milk too. Don't know about mixing it with water.Definitely would order this flavor4.5 out of 5 starsGreen Apple- mixed it with plain cold water. It seems to be going for a jolly rancher kind of flavor. But the whey protein is distracting. I don't think I could drink this often.2.5 stars out of 5Wild Grape - mixed it with plain cold water. I was a little afraid of this one. Generally I do not like grape flavored products. This one smells like Fanta Grape Soda which I actually do like. And its not bad. But its not really good either. I kept wishing for fizzy bubbles and that whey protein thing kept sneaking through. I don't think I'll be ordering this flavor.3 stars out of 5

Twisted Cherry Flavor: Tastes Exactly Like Maraschino Cherries! Yum!
I love so many of the Syntrax Nectar flavors and I love the nutrition values, including the very low sodium compared to most protein powders which are often WAY too high in sodium and/or carbs. None of those problems with Syntrax Nectar. As the others, the Twisted Cherry, is also versatile: good mixed with plain water, vanilla almond milk, chocolate almond milk, coconut almond milk OR with unsweetened cherry applesauce, regular unsweetened applesauce, or by mixing a small amount of the Twisted Cherry Syntrax into Lemonade Syntrax or any other flavors to add a hint of maraschino cherry flavor. Like cherry lemonade! If I have a sweet tooth that day, I add Splenda packets to whatever I'm mixing it with; another pairing is to mix the Vanilla Syntrax with it to make it cherry vanilla, or vanilla cherry whatever. I love nearly all the Syntrax Nectars except the ones with the bizarre colors of neon blue or neon green. A bit too nuclear/atomic looking for me, but kids love it for that very reason. I didn't realize the cherry could be so versatile until I tried it with a sample pack; then I had to get the full sized one. Too expensive compared to other flavors, but one tub of this goes a long way, especially when mixing with other things.

Best fruit protein I've ever had!
I've tried tons of egg & whey isolate & icky artificially sweetened protein powders since my lap band surgery, and this stands above them all as the best fruit taste. It's fine just mixed with water! I keep some in the office & I mix this with a bottle of Bai coconut and have a 111 calorie / 23 grams of protein shake. I've never had it get too foamy, altho it does foam a bit if you use a blender/shaker cup to mix it up with. But you can also just use a small whisk. The trick is to put some liquid in a glass first, then the scoop of powder. This way the powder doesn't stick to the glass when it gets wet. Also, if you let it stand for a minute, it will blend much easier into the liquid without much effort whisking. I've made quick to-go shakes by opening an 18 oz Bai coconut water, taking a sip, and then pouring half out into a measuring cup, adding the powder and swirling it up, then pouring it back into the Bai bottle for travel. It's really just a shot of rum shy of a piña colada (that would be a 175 calorie / 23 grams of protein healthiest piña colada ever). Not that I've done that. Not that I remember doing, anyway....

I love the taste of this stuff
I love the taste of this stuff. I used to only like muscle milk but this stuff taste better. The only downside to this protein is that when I use my shaker cup, it foams up more than any protein I have ever tried.

Definitely my go to protein
The best protein powder I’ve ever tasted, I am doing my 2 week pre op gastric bypass surgery and was told by my surgeon to try nectar brands. WOW what a difference, now I can drink it without gagging. I choose the Caribbean cooler, it tastes like a virgin pina colada. It feels me up. It’s also cost efficient. Definitely recommend!

I like the product
I like the product. It taste great, it is not chalky. However, it spiked my blood sugar. Splenda, contrary to popular belief CAN and DOES raise blood sugar levels in many people. after buying this, I did a good search and found more than a few articles and research articles stating that Splenda is NOT always good for people wanting to lose weight, looking to lower their blood sugar, or just in general. I got this thinking it would help me lower my blood sugar, because it is no carbs, high protein, and no sugar....but I had the opposite reaction :)

BUY IT! Soooooo good!
I don't like chalky tasting protein powders and this one is not at all chalky. I make a smoothie with this, 1/2 a banana, a large handful of baby spinach, a few chunks of frozen mango, pineapple, a TBSP shredded coconut and a scoop of super greens from Trader Joe's. Add water or coconut water to the consistency you like. It is so delicious and healthy! GET IT!
