fits the EA56254 drill perfectly

I wanted to believe all of the reviews stating the bit would simply slip weren't accurate, but they are. No matter how much and often you tighten the screws, the extension simply strips the driver and it spins off. I lost my bit twice in the wall and had to make the extra holes I was trying to avoid simply to retrieve my bit. Find another solution, it will work better.

Good product

I bought the extender so I could drill up through the fire break in the wall and up into the attic. After punching through the fire block as I was drilling through the headers at the top of a 9 foot wall, this started spinning and the bit was not longer cutting. I was able to pull the extender back out but it left my bit stuck inside the wall. The hex screws that held the bit in had vibrated loose and one had fallen out inside the wall.Luckily I was able to identify where to drill from the attic down and was able to punch the long drill bit down and fish it out of the wall.

The one thing that I think they could make this better with is putting a quarter inch hex shank on the drive end

The rod was very thin and floppy. No wrench was included. I have at least two complete sets of hex, torx and star wrenches so I was only an inconvenience to go out to the garage and get one. Still, for an extra two cents, it would be nice if one was included.I was not able to drill a hole because the rod wasn't rigid enough for me to apply any pressure to drill through the wood, four feet away. Keep in mind that I was drilling DOWN through a banister! Any attempt to drill horizontally would be impossible. I returned the product.I would suggest that anyone needing this type of product should go to your local home center/hardware store where you should find 12" extensions that have heavy steel rods that won't bend and quick disconnect ends for drills. I bought three of them and a 12" drill bit. Worked like a charm. I'm sure they will come in handy in the future.

The Allen screws/ nubs are useless- even when fully tightened the drill bit moves around and the nubs become loose- I lost one in a wall cavity already.There is also no way to attach a string/ thin wire to this product- the photo shows the "chuck" does have a hole, but in reality at least on the drill extension I received there is none.Overall this extension is useless.

It needs to be able to except a standard spade bit. I had to grind down the drill bit shaft to put it in the extention. It worked ok but just a pain.

the extension snaps, when it spinning and it doesn't matter how tightening the screws, in addition to it when it was bent in "U" does't come back tooriginal shape anymore :(
