Works incredibly well. Be aware though if you're treating a wound at home, if you're using an alginate dressing that your wound is producing enough fluid to stand up to the absorption of this dressing. If your alginate dressing gets dry, it WILL hurt. It WILL stick to the wound and make things rather unpleasant. Cut the dressing to fit your wound as well unless your wound is producing enough fluid to turn the dressing in its entirety into gel. Once the dressing becomes gel it is incredibly comfortable and easy to remove. If it dries out though, as my ski instructor once said, you're going to have a bad time
