My pair just arrived this afternoon and I am a bit disappointed. The leather doesn't go completely around the leg. My feet are completely covered as are the fronts and sides of my legs but only the nomex/spandes lining covers the backs of my legs. It is like a gladiator's armor. That is my only disappointment. The rest of the boot experience is great and perfect. They even have a zipper on the inside of each leg for easier fit. You will have to either use a long boot horn or be prepared to push hard to get your foot into the bottom. Walking in them is very comfortable. Buy these. They are much less expensive than aquestrian riding boots, go much higher up the leg, (about a total of 18 inches in the front and 16 inches in the back), and are pretty comfortable. And, they are a high quality of leather. I didn't give them five stars only because they don't completely cover the back of the legs.
