SpyderDodge Ram 1500 09-12 / Ram 2500 10-12 / Ram 3500 10-12 LED Tail Lights - Black

Overall I am very happy with the lights. My only complaint was that installation instructions wasn't included in the box. But since manufacturer was easy to find online and they had great instructions and installations videos posted online I won't take a star off from that. This system replaced your tail brake/turn lights with LED but you still end up using your normal backup bulb and sockets in this housing. I know that some people complain about that but to get good LED bulbs for backup lights you can easily put out another hundred dollars and or have complete units such as this that cost twice as much. So I am good with the non-led backup lights for now with this setup.Top red area on the outside of the light assembly is a running light. Red areas below main LED's and bottom outside of housing are reflectors only. Has good visibility on the brake/turn signals. Other than I wish the outside running light flashed as a turn signal as you have less side visibility of turn signals over the stock lights. So if a vehicle is next to you they can hardly see the signals. Its not that big a issue as many vehicle have even less side visibility with their stock lights so I am happy with them and my truck has signal lights on the mirrors.Was a very easy straight forward installation. Took me about 15 minutes to put both units in. No additional parts of wiring required. Just plug in and go. Totally plug and play.I would suggest referencing your owners manual on how to remove the stock lights or see the instructions on spyderauto [do]t com so you don't break the clips while removing the stock lights. Seeing the instructions and video made it easy to pop off the OEM lights, remove the light sockets, then plug the new lights in and install the stock backup light into the new units housing. I won't waste time explaining the installation in more detail as the spyder auto website has great photos and video detailing everything.A simple plug and play installation on my 2011 1500 and am very happy with the look and function of the lights. I have only had them for a couple of weeks so I can't speak to longevity of the units but so far so good.

Install was easy, just remove the bulbs and the slim connector goes in its place. Reverse bulb does not change, re-use that bulb. Looks very clean like the new OEM models and non walmarted like many of our Hispanic friends like to trick out their 1997 Chevy Tahoe's to look like with added chrome and such.Once installed, they are very bright just when running lights. Brake lights add what seems to be around 30% more light from the same LED's. Just without hitting the brakes, they appear to be bright enough to be brake lights. A previous reviewer mentioned something about an extra attachment he ordered from another site to dim them down. We will see if I get any weird looks or comments in the coming nights.

These are DYI components...Pay close attention to how you remove the OEM lights...very few, if any instructions.... but they look great, and perform well...so far

These things were a direct drop in replacement for my OEM ones. I had previously installed LED bulbs so I had already wired in the correct resistors, if you don't do this you may throw a CANBUS code. You can buy plug and play ones, or if you are half way intelligent, save some money and just wire them in directly. The LEDs are extremely bright, and function perfectly. Make a note that they do not come with any reverse lights installed, you need to install your pre-existing bulbs. I highly recommend you get some LED reverse bulbs to go along with these tail lights, It really completes the look and makes a huge difference backing up at night. They are DOT and SAE approved, so no worries about passing inspection getting hassled by cops. Worth every penny.

Perfect product and they look AMAZING! I love the fact that even my wife loved the way they look, and for my wife who is not a car coolness freak says something about these tail lights. FYI these are truly plug and mount!

I installed these lights and initially loved them. They fit perfectly and were plug and play in my 2010 RAM. After installing, I checked how the lights looked and they were intensely bright. It got me concerned so I asked a few different people to follow me at night and gauge how bright the lights were. The reactions I got were that the lights were so bright when braking that they were blinding those behind me. Even when not braking, I was told the lights are so bright that it appears that my brake lights are stuck on. I called Spyder and asked if there was any way to reduce the brightness and was told no and that is just how they are.I dropped this review to 1 star because Spyder keeps deleting my review on their YouTube video of these lights. Bad business practice.**UPDATE** I have since returned these lights and purchased the newer factory Ram LED tail lights which are compatible with 2009-2012 rams when using a harness adapter purchased at retroshop.us. The factory LED's are much less intense when not braking and are bright when braking. Exactly what I was initially hoping for when I bought the Spyder lights.

These lights fit my 2015 Ram perfectly. They've only been on for two days, but they look great and seem to function well. I'll update this review if I have any problems. I did have trouble getting the reverse light installed on the passenger side light. But, that wasn't enough of an issue to warrant a 4 star review, for me anyway.

They work fine. No issues. Fitment on 1 has a tiny bit of a larger gap but that's all. Looks good on my 2012 Ram 1500.Crazy bright but in a good way.
