Why Use Compression Socks? * Compression socks helps improve blood circulation, prevents blood clots from forming in leg veins, stops blood from pooling at the legs and helps relieve symptoms caused by varicose veins, skin ulcers, and deep vein thrombosis. * For athletes it will increase oxygen delivery, reduce vibration and lactic acid build up in the leg area, lessen chances of cramps and enable your muscles to recover faster from fatigue and damage. * For workers, travelers and anyone who stands or sits for long periods of time; it will help prevent your legs and feet from swelling, improve blood flow, lessen the chances of blood clots and varicose veins and relieve your legs and feet from exhaustion and fatigue related pain. Who Should Use Compression Hosiery? * Compression socks are the tightest around the ankle area with the compression gradually lessening as the sock goes up the leg. * Depending on your medical condition or your fitness level, it is best to consult a doctor for the appropriate amount of pressure (mmHg) for you. * Compression socks were used as medical support hoses for people suffering from conditions such as deep vein thrombosis and varicose veins. Today it has a much more wide spread appeal amongst frequent travelers, athletes and anyone who suffers swelling and discomfort in the leg and foot regions from sitting or standing too long. Please note compression socks are meant to have a tighter fit, so may be a little more difficult to put on than normal socks. Machine washable. Hang dry. 77% nylon/23% spandex (lycra). 360 DEN. Try them!
Amazing! The best compression socks I ever bought and I have tried a lot of them till now. Comfortable even for people with thick calves. No rolling at the ankles. No deep marks below the knee in the evening! Easy to put on and take off. No swellings in the evening. No pain during the day. Simply great product and for a very affordable price. Strongly recommend them.

So Comfortable
I have recently been told to wear compression hose or Sox every day due to venous insufficiency. I ordered several different brands in order to compare. The Aer Sox were by far my favorite. They go on easier than others and don't bunch up at the ankle. I found them comfortable for the entire day the first day I wore them. I will be ordering more of these. I do wish they came in other colors, but still a 5 star purchase. I wear a size 10 shoe and the LXL are a great fit.

This is my third time ordering these compression socks! I like the feel and comfort and the sizing is just the right fit. It is a much better price than my original pairs my doctor recommended and has the same or better mmHg. I wash them with the regular load of laundry in my washing machine and dryer with no issues. I am no longer shopping around and getting socks that doesn't compare well. I am staying with this product going forward.

Probably not the best solution
These run extremely small. Got the largest for a thin person and they had to be taken off due to severe, unremitting pain* in the left heel. When that ultra-tight sock was finally pried off (exercise for the week), the ankle had a lot of swelling (previously none). That pain and swelling can best be explained by obstruction of venous or lymphatic return of fluid by the sock.Picture a large rock obstructing flow on a garden hose and you get the idea. Hospital TEDS stockings are probably a better alternative-albeit instead of "sexy black hose" you get white medical -looking socks.A key difference between TEDS and these socks is that the toes are open on TEDS stockings, whereas the toes are contained within this sock, probably allowing for more problems.TAKE HOME POINT: Most of us probably strive for reduction of edema (swelling), not amputation. There are places that fit people for compression socks. Check around-safer than buying online.* Good thing this person feels pain-if pain sensation was absent, as in a diabetic, the foot might've been lost.

Comfortable Compression Socks
These are moderate to heavy compression socks, and can cut into your skin at the top if you are very swollen

Great for people stuck at a desk all day!
I bought these for a friend who works at a desk all day long and is concerned about blood clots in her legs. She reports that they are very comfortable, super supportive, and holding up very well. She give them a 5/5.
