Very Unusual Shoes
If you are used to running shoes, these are a bit heavy and clunky. I thought I might have to replace the elastic cord with real shoe laces, but the cord is working better than expected. The fun advantage is putting these shoes on without having to untie the laces (or leaving the laces tied very lose). The heel on these shoes is VERY thin, flexible, and stretchy. You slide your foot in as if there was no heel, and then pull the heel up behind your foot. It's different, but in a good way, and works VERY WELL for getting in and out of the shoes without a bunch of hassle. The other surprise is that there is absolutely nothing behind the mesh panels. I'm used to at least a thin piece of fabric, but these shoes will show off whatever socks you're wearing. That's got to be a big advantage for summer wear, or down south, but not so much for winters up near Canada. I should also mention having a spot near the top of the big toe on the right shoe which rubs. Hopefully it was just on my pair of shoes, and isn't a common flaw.I'd encourage every other shoe maker to design a version of the heels on these Propet sneakers. That really should be the next great innovation in casual shoes. Sliding your foot in from the back, and then pulling up the heel behind your foot, is SO much better than how other shoes work. I wish someone would have thought of it 50 years ago.

Haven't worn for 12 hours yet, and I know these could be improved
I recently bought another pair of Propet walking shoes that are as light as air and feel like slippers on my feet-I love those!- so I was very excited to try another style on my seriously jacked-up(read: deformed from Arthritis, bunions, hammer toes) feet.I thought the cinch-up lacing system and heel strap seemed like a good concept, and I liked the look, so I ordered a pair from Footsmart.com- then found them $40 cheaper on Amazon. I returned the first pair and ordered these without even opening the package. Second pair arrives, I put the first shoe on, tug on the elastic lace, and it yanks right through the cheap plastic upper lace hole. Two problems: Obviously, the lace hole is weak; and the laces are so thin and stretchy that they not only cut through the lace hole, but they have stretched out so far that now I have a 12" loop dangling off my shoe. Quick solution: cut off these laces, put in a new regular-type pair, and poked a new hole in the plastic loop. SO I get the new laces installed, put the shoes on again, and find I should've ordered the 5E instead of the 3E (My fault). No worries, get out the shoe stretchers (did I mention my problem feet?).A few days of stretching, and I can get my deformed feet into the shoes. NOW I find that the soles are hard as a rock. They seem like hard plastic instead of rubber. I'm going to hope they break in, because at this point I've altered them enough that I probably can't return them.My advice-find them in a store, take a look and try them on before you buy them.

Sleek shoes
I love these shoes in the summer. A friend turned me on to these because I was looking for a shoe with a sturdy base for when I ride my bicycle around town. They fit well and are vented all around your foot. I will say these shoes are rather heavy, and actually took some getting used to. The sole is very rigid, and has little to no flex in it. They slip on and off very fast. The only reason I am giving this a 4 out of 5 is because of the two pairs that I bought, 2 different colors :) , the no tie laces ended up snapping from the highest loops they go through, leaving a slightly sloppy fit after they snapped. If those loops were more rugged I would definitely give them a 5/5.

These are a nice looking and sporty style shoe
These are a nice looking and sporty style shoe. I tried them out at an Amusement Park and was not ideal for walking all day. I had planned ahead an had a spare set of shoes otherwise my wife would have been pushing in one of those child carts for the day. The only time I use them is if I am going to the water. I would also recommend ordering a half size smaller than normal they were sized alright but the back strap would not tighten well enough and the top side lacing needs to be beefed up. They are cheaper than they look.

Good shoe. get your feet sized and stick with the measurements.
The shoes run large. Especially if you are used to getting bigger sizes to accommodate wide feet. I wear a 10 1/2 to 11 normally so that I can fit my feet into the shoes. I ordered a 9 and have a little toe room left. I also got the widest size they had as that is what I normally do and end up having to tighten the laces a lot. So order smaller sizes and remember these are actually wide shoes don't over do it on the width. I have another pair in tan that the plastic on the bottom broke off. It looks like it is going to happen with this pair as well. It appears to be just cosmetic and since it is on the bottom of the shoe I really don't care. The rest of the materials used seem to be of good quality.

mediocre comfort
I've purchased so many shoes for walking thru Amazon. These are mediocre support and even larger than other brands in this size. For REAL comfort, support and fit I suggest you shop for Saucony and the superior quality they are known for.Roger

large fitting
Larger than expected and when my husband went to pull on the string the top foam broke...but we bought regular laces for them and my husband made a new hole and put the lace through....other than that, he says they are comfortable

Third pair of Propet walkers
I have owned two previous pairs of walkers, and the size 10 US fit nicely, possible a little snug. This newer version of the bunge cord walkers is a bit long, but not uncomfortably over size. The previous shoes bunge actually tightened up the fit, with a good pull on the elastic. This pair has a smaller diameter bunge, with a lot less snug power. I plan to keep the shoes, but Propet should reconsider the size and stretch of the of the cord as some of us actually need to snug it up a bit
