Wilderness Systems TrueFit Cockpit Cover -for Aspire and Other Sit-Inside Kayaks - W12, Grey

Perfect fit for my wilderness systems pungo 120. Be advised it is not watertight. It rained on it the second night I had it and some water leaked through onto my seat.

This took some time for me to figure out, but you need to cover your cockpit, especially when it's exposed outside. This thing snugs up around the outer rim of my 'yak, and stays securely in place. It took some experimentation to figure out how to get it all the way on without one side sliding off, but on the 3rd try, I nailed it. Now this thing is never coming off and will keep my cockpit nice and dry and free of porcupines and other various vermin who may want to try to paddle away in my boat. Quality gear that fits perfectly.

This cover fit two different kayak models with slightly different opening sizes and shapes. At first, it seemed a little awkward and tight, but it seemed to stretch just enough to take the shape. Now it is an easy one-person on and off! Definitely going to keep the bugs out.

I ordered the cockpit cover as it said it was compatible with my Tsunami kayak made by the same manufacturer, Wilderness Systems. I attempted to put it on using the handle to help adjust as it was a really snug fit and the handle frayed about half way. I ordered a replacement thinking it was simply a one off defect; this was not the case. As soon as the replacement was delivered I gently tugged on the handle with much less effort than would be needed and the handle immediately came undone as seen in the picture. Due to the very snug fit essentially requiring the handle I'm asking for a refund opposed to another replacement.Either it's poor construction, a defective batch, the incorrect type of stitch for the job, or simply cheap. As it's supposed to be designed for my kayak based on the manufacturer, I shouldn't have to struggle with the fit with the one tool that would help immediately being useless. Could it still be used, yes, but it would be at the expense of the handle and unneeded effort and at this price point there are better alternatives.

No issues at all.I’m willing to bet all of the negative dosent fit reviews are do to customers being sent the wrong item without them knowing the difference.

Purchased two of these for our Wilderness 105 Aspire kayaks. They fit well and seem to be of reasonable quality.
