Awesome gift
I get my hubby a new one every couple of years as a gift. I know they are lifetime guaranteed but we use this so often and âhardâ that it doesnât seem fair to the company to send them back for repairs lol. He uses this tool for absolutely everything! So itâs a fairly regular birthday and Christmas gift option for hubby, which he loves to get a new one. He stores the old ones in places like glove boxes and the garage etc for emergency and quick to reach handy tools and wears the new one on his belt till itâs time to get a new one again lol. So the old ones still get used regularly as well. The pliers make great tick removal and tick squish tools! So I use them for that when I find a tick on the dogs.

Best multitool I've ever owned
I've carried one of these on treks through many nations and it has saved us lots of grief more than once. Whether removing, cleaning, and replacing a plugged fuel filter on a Land Rover in the middle of the desert of northern Kenya when the truck owner didn't have a toolbox -- and the locals incredulously watching it then examining it closely -- or cutting a SIM card with the scissor in Uganda when my phone used the small one and there were none of those available locally, or even cutting rope and then aluminum when we were improving some equipment in China, this thing does it all! This one I bought for a gift for my stepson prior to our first big camping trip together. And like me, he now has it on him all the time even though he lives in the big city and is a digital designer. This is just such a handy and attractive tool and always attracts interest.

doesnt break down
I bought this model as a one for one renewal of one I have previously owned and used daily for 15 years. All that was wrong with the old one was that after so much use the rubber hand grips had worn away. The only difference is that this one came without the spare jaws for the wire cutter and were kept in a small, attached pouch and it doesn't have the little extra pouch on the side which I thought was great as I kept a set of tweezers in it. Other than that, this is a great tool and superb value for money.

good knife overal, some drawbacks.
Overall this is a very good knife. easy to use and it has one of the best wire cutters available. i'm an ammo troop working out in the desert building bombs for uncle sam. this thing gets used for everything.there are 3 things i'd like to see changed on this thing:1. better grips. this can slip out of gloved or sweaty hands fairly easily imo.2. i wish this thing had easier access to some of the smaller gizmos. some of them you have to pull out the neighboring tool to get at the one you want. with the exception of only a few of 'em you can't open with gloves. the knife opens and closes easily with gloves.3. biggest gripe: small bits of surface rust appeared almost instantly after i started wearing it. dunno if they need to upgrade the steel and/or coating, but this thing rusted before it even got used. granted, its only very small amounts, but it's definitely there.even with its faults, i think its considerably better than leathermans and other non-springy types. it takes abuse well and has a changable saw blade and carbide wire cutting tips.

Awesome multitool
I bought this to replace my old multi-tool which was the same model. The new one is a little lighter in color, but the plus side is that the plier jaws open about 1/16" of an inch wider. I prefer this to any of the Leatherman multitools, the handles are slightly oversized and well contoured to your hand, no cutting into your hand when using the pliers. The main selling point for this is that the tools are accessible without having to first open the tool, select and open tool, then fold the pliers back shut to use them comfortably. This saves a lot of time and the ease of use due to everything with the exception of the pliers being accessible from the outside make this my go to tool. The first one lasted me a solid 15 years, hopefully the second will last as long or longer. I was going to send the original in for warranty repairs as it does come with a lifetime warranty, but it makes for a more interesting story to keep.

Gerber MP800
The last Gerber I had, I lent it to my Bradley driver. He accidently closed his hatch and squashed it. đIt's been years and I'm retired. Roaming around Amazon, I stumbled on the Gerber's and had to get the MP800.I love it. Brings back plenty of memories. I'm very pleased and a great purchase! I love it.

Best multi tool ever - to me
In my job I constantly need to fiddle / tighten / clean up / take off sharp edges. Typically it would require a tool belt of tools to do all these things. I find tool belts bulky and cumbersome to carry. This tool have everything I need and is incredible durable. Highly recommend it
