The first "real" 70 Watt Mercury Vapor Reptile Bulb and is the SMALLEST and best-in-class self-ballasted light that creates superior levels of UVA and UVB light. Preferred distance is 8-9 inches from your animal to bulb for best results.

Works perfect, lasts long and great for turtles!
Honestly, this light is far better than the other lights, I've had this one since Feb. 6th and it beats having to run to the pet store to buy a light every 2 weeks. For me at least this one has been perfect for my Red earred slider. Hasn't burnt out from being ran 12 hours a day (although you shouldn't, at least give it a couple 30 minute breaks throughout the day)

Great UVB bulb
I buy one of these bulbs every 6 months for my iguana. They work amazingly. With the help of this light, dietary changes, and physical therapy we were able to turn around his MBD and stop it's progression. I will never buy another brand UVB bulb. When I bought this last one it started shorting out within a week. The replacement arrived within two days thank goodness. The flickering had scared my poor iguana and I can't have him without this for too long. The Mega-Ray box was really damaged when I received it though. It looked like it had been smashed and taped back together, but the bulb was in perfect shape!

great light
We use these for our reptiles. We’ve tried so many brands and this one has lasted the longest, we have had tortoises, monitors, beardies, tegus and more. these last the longest and have helped maintain the health of our animals. totally recommend. Little more spendy but whats a few bucks more for longevity and true temps?

amazing bulbs but received the wrong wattage multiple times
I love these bulbs more than anything but I received a 100w bulb TWICE when I bought a 70w bulb. I'm not sure if this is an Amazon issue but it's frustrating because I do need these bulbs. As far as the bulbs go, this is an incredible bulb for leopard geckos. many people keep them without uvb but the improvement in activity, health and digestive function speak for themselves. this also works unbelievably better than the 10.0 fluorescent tubes I've tried previously. these bulbs have made my gecko so happy and healthy and I couldn't be more thankful.

Fantastic bulbs
Probably the best mercury vapor bulb on the market. Is it more expensive than others? Yes. It also lasts twice as long and degrades at a much slower rate. It doesn't put out a ton of heat so if you have a desert reptile that needs a really hot basking spot it might need some support. I'm running it 9" from the basking spot with a 175w par38 flood light to get the 150 degrees my Ackies need. Spend the couple extra dollars, follow the instructions to set it up properly and replace it once a year. Don't waste time or money on other mediocre lighting, just buy one of these and be done with it. Your scaled buddies will thank you

Not worth the money
I've always been happy with Megaray but now not so much. I bought this bulb March 8, arrived March 12th. It's April 26 and the bulb stopped working. Upon further investigation the bottom is warped. Megaray supposedly guarantees their products but I can't find a way to contact them or if that's actually true or not. I'm extremely disappointed, this is a $50 bulb, do better.

Not for me.
I purchase this to heat up my fire skink’s enclosure, and it work very well. It heated up quick… but only for two or three days after that it stop working completely.
