After spending hours trying to remove a rounded sump plug bolt from a 14 year old Ford Ka I was ready to take the thing to a garage and pay half of the cars value to get it serviced. A quick google came up with using an oil instead. Ordered at 10:30 in the morning and it was with me by 20:00. Really easy to use, simply stick the thin tube down the dipstick tube, the other pipe in an old empty oil can, connect to the battery terminals and switch it on. Took a minute for the suction to get right and find a good place to rest the pump, allowing gravity to help. Once i got the oil up into the pump, it took a matter of 2 minutes to get most of the oil out. Obviously not as good as a proper oil change using the sump plug but for a 14 year old Ford KA it did the trick. Filter changed and refilled with oil, whole thing took 15 minutes. Back in the box, probably use it once more next year !

Bought this out of frustration really after spending nearly a whole morning sucking the oil from my dip stick port via the hand crank pump. Didn’t expect much from this, but it works better. Much quicker and the power source is in your engine bay already. Lucky it got to me mind, it was next day but was literally in the display box with no tape holding it shut or anything. Customers don’t really appreciate others knowing what’s in the parcels especially when the box isn’t even sealed....

I wish I bought one of these years ago! It's cheap but it does the job well, i used it today to do a service on my wife's vw touran, and it saved so much time and effort, i avoided the kerfuffle of having to jack up the car, loosen the sump plug and lower the car, remove the sump plug, spill oil everywhere etc! Now I lower the tube down the dip stick and flick a switch and a few minutes later its empty, no hassle now getting under the car. Hopefully it will last. The suction tube is thin enough and long enough to go down my dip stick, the jubilee clips are not great quality but they did hold, i will probably get some better quality ones, but for the price I am happy.

I rarely put reviews on Amazon, but this product is absolute rubbish. I only had it running for 10minutes at the most and barely drained a litre of oil. Then the pump came to an abrupt end. Nothing. Disconnected from the battery and reconnected in 20 minutes time to see if had overheated. Still nothing. Had to resort to the tried and trusted method of removing sump plug. Complete waste of money and 30 minutes of my time. Do not buy this product.

Doesn't completely empty the sump, but I wasn't expecting it to. But it does cut out the splurge of oil as you remove the sump plug and it does make the job easier & a lot less messy. I'm glad I got one.

Fantastic little pump, works a treat, metal attachment for the pipes so can get a tight fit. used to pump oil from my v6 jeep commander 9.5ltr. i stopped twice to let it cool down 9.5ltr i thought was a big ask especially as the pipe to the sump was only 3" longer than my dipstick so was pumping at full depth. My oil was warm so it helped with the oil movement & possibly helped heat up the pump. the on/off switch is useful + the power cord is quite long. it saves so much time having not to get under the vehicle & 9.5ltr of oil draining from sump would of needed a very large shallow container but with this little pump it all went into a drum with carry handle so no mess. it is a little loud but not as loud as the obscene language usually heard from under the vehicle.

Brilliant tool , easy to change your own oil , just make sure all connections are secure and the oil in the engine is warm , not stone cold or red hot .

Worked ok for first time use next time I will measure lenth of dipstick and put tube In the appropriate lenth .I also drained oil when I had finished just to see how much was left in and was pleased to find it only had 150 ml left in .could do with slightly longer power cable but that's just because I used the batty of wife's car now I have used it would probably just connect to the battery on the car I was draining oil

Totalt värdelös pump för att suga ut motorolja ur en 4,3 liters båtmotor! Trots att jag följde instruktionerna och körde motorn i över 20 minuter för oljan att bli varm så lyckades den suga ut knappt 1 dl olja efter de 30 minutrarna som man får köra pumpen innan den måste stängas av. Jag har reklamerat pumpen och hoppas få tillbaka mina pengar alternativ en pump som fungerar enligt beskrivningen.

Heute am Vw Touran 1.6 FSI, Öl gewechselt, pumpt prima...keine 5min war alles rausgepumpt... Würde ich wieder kaufen....

Lo uso para un motor agrícola y funciona correctamente. Succión suficiente para extraer todo el aceite. Unos 10 min en sacar 3L de aceite. Por el momento funciona bien y no se caliente apenas

Je l’utile dans mon bar car pas assez de pente pour l’évacuation et la machine à glaçon est ravie .... attention n’est pas livré avec la prise .... donc faut se demmerder .... ça c’est petit moins !!!! Sinon va bien .... fait bien son job !!!!

Ottima per cambiare l'olio motore senza svitare il tappo della coppa. Aspira a dovere e il tubo è lungo per arrivare in fondo. Qualità costruttiva buona. Sembra robusto e funziona alla grande. Consigliato.
