We run a children’s nonprofit, and the kids absolutely loved the Makeblock mBot Robot Kits. They were a great hands-on STEM activity and a wonderful way to introduce children to robotics and coding. Even some of our younger kids had no problem using them, and they were excited to see what they could build and program. The kits are high quality, easy to use, and a great value for the price. This is an excellent educational product for kids, classrooms, after-school programs, or nonprofits looking for affordable STEM activities. Highly recommend!

Makeblock mBot Robot Kit Is a perfect robot for a 10 year old. My child was able to build the robot unassisted quickly. The directions are clear and simple to follow. The programming booklets and App are useful to aid in teaching kids simple coding. Parts are good quality, labeled nicely and package well with little waste. Price is a little high but there are lots of sales which help. I had a minor problem with a missing part which Ada from customer service went above and beyond to make it right. I highly recommend the Makeblock mBot Robot robot

This was an easy and fun build. My kid has easily gotten it to do things, but probably because he uses similar apps/code at school. He really enjoys it. The only downside is that it doesn't always reconnect via Bluetooth on its own and he needs a little help with that. It's perfect for his age (11) and I'd buy again for my other kids.

This is not a toy, but that doesn’t mean it’s not fun! It’s a very sturdy machine with legit parts for a robot. I find the programming just as fun and addictive as my kid. The projects are fun, but we went through them quickly so I’ve had to make up more challenges to keep the interest going. A few notes: the software and documentation are not bulletproof. I’ve had to do a bit of debugging through the process that I don’t think a parent without prior experience with programming and basic knowledge of electronics would easily figure out. The makeblock forums are very helpful when you run into issues. Overall, everyone loves mBot and its been a great learning experience

This was actually a lot better quality than I was expecting. The parts seem like they are well built. The metal chassis is sturdy and the holes are all aligned properly. The way the motors are attached isn’t perfect and they will likely come loose after awhile, but it will be easy to tighten them back up. My 7 year old son and I assembled the kit together in about an hour, with him doing most of the work. The instructions were fairly simple, although the pics showing where to put the screws were a little tough for my 7 year old to interpret on his own at first. Not a big deal, and he figured it out with some help. Older kids will probably find it easier, if they have experience following printed directions. There are not too many small parts, which i think makes this kit better than some others for younger kids. We just started playing with the programming and it seems to be pretty simple and works well on the ipad. My son is excited to try designing some new programs of his own for his robot to follow.
