We are pleased. Happy Youngster=Happy Daddy=Good Times!
Looking to upgrade from a toy bow to a real one for my child, siblings have bows, and I thought we could make this activity a good family bonding experience. My first bow was a Bear recurve from about 1960, next I had an off brand used compound that did not fit me at all. As a graduate gift one of my children I bought a Bear Compound brand new from a youth model being discontinued (Bear is constantly improving product line with functional beautiful results) my graduate turned to love the Bear Compound so much after almost five years this year decided to buy a new Bear Compound with an old style camo pattern he loves. Its a fantastic bow. The old bow was in great condition still, wanted a new one (Bear is always improving an all areas). This purchase for my youngest at 13 fits great and they can pull it back with effort though, I'm not sure if a six year old could pull it back, but regardless they will grow into it. With exercise they will shoot in no time I'm sure. If they can't pull back they will do push-ups every day until they can I'm willing to bet..I was worried it would be too light of a draw weight, but its perfect! Also it looks awesome, and the feel is just as impressive. The finger rollers are great, another purchase of a hand release or a shooting three finger bow glove wasn't required. It feels good , the release is smooth, and shoots fantastic. Came with goodies we were not expecting like a arm shield for the arm so the string doesn't "slap" the arm, that was a cool prize, and the targets and two arrows that come with are awesome. Just a fantastic deal to have everything ready to rock and roll. No bother with constant adjustments, no worry with safety concerns with a bad product. Bear bows are meant to last a lifetime, and they do. This is a great real bow for the beginner. I want one for myself. Since I've had Osteo Degenerative Joint Disease I can no longer shoot bows, but I bet I could this one. Great reason to make outdoors fun for everyone. I love this bow for all the right reasons. Price was at the last of my reasons for loving this bow. However there is no purchase I can think of that will be more appropriatly used, and valued by the young girl or boy who receives such a fantastic gift. The best $37 with shipping, and all that (if you don't have free shipping) I have spent, I can't even remember the last time I found something better certainly not even close to that price range. Be real with expectations, fireworks, and a band isn't going to pop put of the box. Just be real with normal expectations, and you will be happy. Bear has such a great history of the best in archery constantly making things that a user can be proficient, and self self efficient. Most bows a person needs to go to a bow shop every year to get things tuned up- --draw weight taken up or down,.not this gem. This is free of any adjustments or services from day one! No regular bow shop tune ups required. Just enjoy. Be smart, shoot safe, teach, and practice safety, and have a blast! I know we will.

For my cub scout
Prior to receiving these in the mail, the closest I've ever been to a bow and arrow is while watching "Robin Hood-Men in Tights" on Netflix. My wife saw this set at our local Scout Shop for 40 bucks plus tax, and said that it was highly recommended as a first time kit. Naturally, as any thrifty scout mom would do, she called me at home and asked me to look it up on Amazon. Cheaper, and well rated! I bought the set, and after reading the reviews here, I expected to have to set it up before using it. Since I don't know anything about bows, I took to the web and found several great videos on youtube, as well as some pretty useful information along with a more comprehensive manual on the manufacturers website. While my kids were at school, I did the set up, which really is just applying a sticker onto the bow, and brought out some old empty boxes to the backyard. There is also a "sight" for the bow, which is just a fancy screw and nut, but almost everything I read and viewed said that it had zero usefulness value, so I didn't even attempt to put it on. I took the bow out back, and practiced firing some arrows downrange so I can give my son some tips on how to use it. It was easy enough for me to learn, and it only took about four tries for my boy to get on a roll, so I can't imagine a better start to learning a new sport. The velocity that the arrows come out of the bow is surprisingly fast, so I have to remind my son every time he handles it that it's not a toy. I imagine that misuse of this set can result in a trip to the emergency room. Anyways, the bottom line is that I think that this bow feels very durable, is easy and very fun to use, and is very inexpensive, compared to what else is out there. I don't have any experience with anything else to make a comparison, but I'm not an easy consumer to please, and I found no fault with these so I give it 5 stars.

Great beginners bow
Bought for our 7 year old son. It's a perfect size and he is able to pull it back and shoot with amazing accuracy! This is a great beginner's bow. It's easy to use, shoots with precision and looks cool. I can see him outgrowing it in a couple of years but if he's still interested in the sport then we'll be thrilled! We purchased a couple extra sets of arrows to go with the couple that come with the bow, to be safe. I highly recommend buying extra arrows. We purchased blunt tipped arrows because...well - he's seven and isn't Hawkeye. (Yet). It comes with a cheap vinyl quiver, sight pin and am arrow rest but both proved to be useless and cheap - he also does better without them. Also comes with cheap guard which can come in handy for beginners. The included instructions are limited but it's easy to look up information online. We're happy with the quality for the price and all in all, this is a great purchase for a child who is interested in archery.

Great bargain!
Fantastic deal, I don't know how they make any money selling this for $7! The kids love it, it seems well made. Certainly well worth the price, it's less expensive than many toy bow and arrow sets and it's the real deal!

Faltó la mirilla
Nos faltó la mirilla que describe el instructivo y que viene en las fotografías del producto... hemos pedido un segundo kit de arco y flechas, ojalá puedan incluirlo.
