This is the best mushroom sliver we’ve ever used. Very easy to slice through and clean cuts. So much faster than using a wire slicer also. Don’t have the issues of wires moving and not lining up because it’s metal blades. Works well for hard boiled eggs also. Easy to clean and will be used for a long time.

Let me ask my fellow Amazon folks; Ever buy something and you were so impressed using it, you looked for other ways to use it again? Yeah, I'm talking to you. I'm the same way. What a rush it is to find an item that is so worthwhile..at a great price. Right? This is it, you've hit the sweet spot my Friend. Forget those stupid wire based egg slicers, this is so much better! Within a week of having it I have sliced boiled eggs, mushrooms (A LOT OF MUSHROOMS ), cherry tomatoes, and strawberries ...NO ISSUES! Love this thing. Tip* The cleaning brush included really helps, but when cutting strawberries make sure you give it a second rinse. I didn't notice in the 1st cleaning there were some seeds left behind. No worries, just rinsed again and used brush & clean). Solidly built, multi functional and effective. I see using this frequently for my Chaucertie Board business in the future.

This is really nice to use. I am only using it for eggs at this point but it may slice fruit like bananas. So far it just rinses off and I haven't had a problem with the egg sticking to it. My old one worked well then the wires started to get loose then they broke. I think cutting the eggs with a knife worked better. I would recommend this egg slicer for ease of working and I think it will last a lot longer than my last one.

I had an old tower slicer than I loved. Unfortunately, the container that the BLADES sit in, finally broke. Tried to find another only to find out the company discontinued the product. Since then, I have been trying to find a suitable replacement. I've tried mandolins (sliced my fingers), rotating slicers (feeder too big, food falls on side), and even egg slicers (wires broke trying to slice a mushroom). I tried this as a last resort (not expecting it to work). Was I surprised!!! First of all, it has blades, not wires. I was able to slice a quart of strawberries with NO problem. Sliced cucumbers, tomatoes, onions, and yes...the mushrooms. Not only easy to use but incredibly quick cleanup. The only thing I haven't tried yet are carrots. So far, I am VERY happy with this product!

After blowing through three wire egg cutters in one year, including OXO and a KitchenAide models, I tried this new-fangled heavy-duty small food slicer that has surprised me and surpassed all expectations. It's sharp, rigid serrated blades will slice through boiled beets, olives, grapes, and cherry tomatoes that has truly allowed me to enhance my salads! Beware, the blades ARE sharp. I've accidently dragged my fingers along the bladed side when rising the cutter and it does slice through skin. Use the small brush that comes with the product (but find a quiet safe place for the brush or it will disappear down your kitchen disposal).

I kept buying little small egg slicer’s with the little thin wires, and they kept breaking! Looking for an alternative, I found this slicer. I really like it because it has a little jagged teeth that helps slice through the egg. I get a clean slice every time. I have also use this for mushrooms and strawberries and it works awesome. I also like the way you can lock it together, and store it away without it being continually open. I put it on the top shelf of my dishwasher with no problems. I think this one the last quite a while.

Was so excited when I ordered this product. It is good and sturdy and the cutting blades won’t break like the wire ones. I bought it to make egg salad. I cut it in two different directions. The blades smash the eggs and it makes a real mess of the eggs. It is also hard to clean the egg yoke from the blades. I am sure it will work for mushrooms and strawberries.

Hello there!! Queen of kitchen gadgets here. I have every kitchen gadget I can buy that will make my life easier in the kitchen! I mainly cook with fresh foods so having a slicer that can hold up is a must in my kitchen. With that said.... I love this slicer!! I have tried a bazillion different kinds, types, brands. I have tried both the square molded plastic and the "professional " grade stainless steel slicers. Nothing is as well built or as fast and easy to use or clean as this one. For those who are cutting plastic into their food, they are not using this amazing tool correctly. You have to pay attention to how you are using it. You can't just slam the food in it willy nilly and compress the handle. There are guides built into the slicer to show you proper food placement. I cut through 5 pounds of mushrooms in under 5 minutes! Strawberries for jam making are a breeze. Trust me. Just try it. You won't be disappointed.
