If you like a round wound growling base, these speakers deliver in the right cabinets
Loud, as promised, and great in small cabinets. Mounted 2 x 12s in a 2 ft.³ box. Ran audio speaker simulations using provided data from Sheffield. PV recommendations are for .75 ft.³ in a sealed box. One cubic foot per speaker produced slightly louder overall sound with slightly better bass response. Adding a 4 inch diameter port 10 inches long for the two speaker boxes produced even better down low response with no loss of upper bass and mid range response. Actual ear comparison between sealed cabinet and ported cabinet confirmed simulation, with an increase in overall volume and noticeable improved deep low end response. Fantastic in my bass guitar rig with a 1000 W Hartke amplifier. Tons of growl. See graphs. Bass E is 40 Hz, bass B of a five string is 30 Hz. Dark green and black @ 1W; light green and grey @ 500 W.

Awsome mide range speaker
Very loud and clean has trouble on the low end but it does not claim to be a subwoofer. Very light weight, great for a replacement speaker.

These speakers sound great!
These are awesome for a bass rig! I have a single 12 for a practice amp. With a mini mega peavey head. Sounds amazing with them genty tones. Handle’s distortion and low B tuning. I’m currently building a 2x12 setup with these speakers as well.

These Sheffield speakers are better than Peavey 1200's plus carry more watts. These sound great. Also these Sheffield's are a little less expensive than Peavey's.

Just buy it!!!
Shopped around for a while for a good subwoofer then I saw this I have to have it and just like I expected brought my system back to life played it five minutes and already I’m happy it’s Peavey what else do you expect
