120-4100 Xtreme Plus Flush Locking Hood Latch and Pin Kit - Black

I'm planning on recessing these into my fiberglass hood so my installation will be a little tougher than the design installation method dictates. This is a solid product with good feel to it, I'm looking forward to getting them installed. DO NOT by cheap knockoffs, buy these.

The quality seem good, wish it was metal not plastic, but from what I see locking only comes in plastic. I am worried that anyone with these hood pins could unlock mine with there keys for theres because of what the keys look like. Either way Messure 8x cut 1x I almost messed up my hood becuase the depth of them cleared past my hood completely and hit my core support so I had to smooth out my core support to make up the diffrence for them to sit properly and latch.

This hood latch is amaaazing. Originally purchased the non locking, then decided to get the locking. Very sturdy and well made. Only difficulty I had was installing it and lining up the latch.. Because of the hood angle, your initial lineup won't be exact. I had to spend a bit of time slowly adjusting the latch little by little until it was "perfect". But once I finally got everything lined up its been working beautifully.

Not too difficult to install if you take your time. Looks great and the added lock is nice piece of mind. Unfortunately after about 1 year and 9 months I noticed the included hardware is quite rusted (likely started rusting earlier just finally noticed). Worth noting the car exclusively lives underneath a car cover (replaced annualy) when not actively being driven.

The product is Amazing!! I really like the look on the hood. But it wasn’t easy to install in my nissan 350z because of the shape of the hood! It took me a lot of work and had to modify the holes but it is done! Measure 10 times to make sure everything works once you make the hole

Replaced cheap push button style. These were way easier to install. Adjustments were a breeze and I feel the larger mounting area cuts down on the stress on the hood.

Go a new hood and wanted a low profile set of pins that lock. Its been a year now still good.thx.

So Ill start with quality of the product which is very good, nothing felt cheap, came with all hardware needed for install! No instruction but buying something like this you should have a idea of how to do it!Next, Shipping, shipped very fast, got here earlier than expected!Finally, the install, If you have a stock hood you DO NOT need these but if youre running aftermarket hood such as Carbon Fiber, you must buy these unless you wanna risk your hood flying up on you. But now to the install itself. Install is easy but terrifying at first. Highly recommend you making a template of your hood with cardboard before cutting. Find a place where the metal pin will be inside the engine bay, Drill a hole first. Tape hood and place template on the hood and draw it. Begin cutting! Good luck! My hood is full secured and I have nothing to fear!

Product is not as advertised. Be aware that the cheapest version is being shipped and not locking or xtreme version with steel pin (weaker aluminum pin being shipped) Don't waste your time and go buy from an authorized dealer.
