JETech Case for Samsung Galaxy Note 4, Shock-Absorption Cover, HD Clear

I ordered several different clear cases for my Note 4 in hopes of finding one with cut-outs for the power and volume buttons, but none of them had it. (I wish manufacturers would learn how to photograph their product so that customers can easily ascertain whether or not there are cut-outs for power and volume buttons.) I decided on the JETech® Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Case Cover Soft Clear Shock-Absorption Bumper for my black Samsung Galaxy Note 4 AT&T Model cell phone. The deciding factor for me was the raised lip around the protruding camera lens to keep the Note 4's lens from touching a surface when the phone is set down. (Again, this is not easily seen in the item description photos on Amazon.) None of the other clear cases that I ordered had this feature. If there is another clear case for the Note 4 that offers this, I would like to know about it. I wish the bottom portion of the lip had been beveled down to the heart rate finger sensor under the lens. Nevertheless, the phone had no trouble registering my heart rate from my average-sized male finger placed in the illustrated vertical position, or in the horizontal position. I also wished there had been a similar lip around two sides of the speaker cut-out so sound does not get muffled when the phone is placed on a level surface. Cut-outs for the two microphones have been manufactured to work on the Verizon variant of the Note 4 as well. The cut-out for the S-Pen is generous, but the cut-out around the charging port is a little snug on one side with the stock Samsung charging cable; a firm little wiggle push will fit the charging plug fully past the case and into the phone. Cut-outs for ports on top of the phone are accurate. The lip around the screen does protect the screen when the phone is placed face down, however, it's not a thick lip as seen on many other cases. I'm getting use to the covered power and volume buttons, but I may use a craft knife to cut them out if I find them cumbersome in the future. The flexible "gel skin" finish is glossy but I have not had an issue with slippage. Since I wear a holster, I prefer a not-too-grippy feel that allows me to insert or quick-draw my phone much like a gunslinger. The clearness of the case will allow me to slip a homemade design between the phone and the case should I tire of the look of the standard Note 4 back cover. And because this case is slim, form-fitted and lightweight, I can still use the same holster I used with my Samsung Galaxy Note 2 phone...barely. JETech's lifetime warranty means the company stands behind their product for the life of that product, which may be put to the test because I tend to use the same cell phone for years. Overall, a decent case at a great price.

I purchased this protective case because I liked that I could get decorative battery covers and use a clear case to cover it all. This case was so inexpensive, I wasn't really holding high hopes. Maybe it would be good, maybe not - roll the dice and see. I am pleased to say that this case is really much better than I thought it ever would be.First, the button covers. Most protective cases have cutouts for the buttons on the left and right sides of the phone. This one completely covers the buttons. The nice thing, this doesn't at all diminish the feel or the usefulness of the buttons - and dirt and debris can't get into the little cracks and crevices, which I love. The top and bottom cutouts are correctly placed and the camera opening is generous without being sloppy.I have only had the case for a short time so I can't speak to its durability. I can say that I am able to take the case off without using a sharp object, which is a plus, but I don't ever get the sense that it's too lose or insecure at all. As I mentioned, I want to change the battery covers out seasonally so I find it wonderful that I can get this off fairly easily.The case is soft, and though it isn't slick, it won't stop the phone from sliding off of a surface by itself. With that said, I put my remote control on a slick surface and my phone, with case, on the same surface next to it and tilted the surface to see what would happen. The remote slid much more quickly than the phone with the case. I had at least 25 seconds longer to catch the phone with the case than I believe it would have slid off without the case. I like the odds that turns in my favor.For a case that runs less than eight bucks, I'm very pleased. I might go ahead and get a couple to save in the event that this isn't durable, because I sure do think I got a good deal.

First Impressions:o Looks great. Has very classy clear gloss that adds a look of refinement. It is a great compliment to the white Note 4.o Functionality is like any other slip cover. It's not complete protection, but it does the job without adding much bulk.Glaring Fault:o All the cutout ports are well done and fit the Note 4 perfectly. However, the Power and Volume portion of the case is not cutout. It is molded to fit over those buttons. It fails miserably. The added pressure causes the volume rocker to go crazy whenever the phone is on. The Power button is activated very easily with a slight touch. This is not ideal at all. At first, I ditched the case.The Fix:o I cut out both the Power and Volume areas with a craft knife and it is now a very functional and great cover. You could use any utility knife or sharp blade, but it is a bit tricky in that you have to mash down the case flat and hold it while cutting. Be careful not to cut yourself. Now fixed, it makes pushing the buttons a tad more difficult, fully doable though, and even preferred so there is no accidental powering on of the device while shoved in a pack with other items, or in a purse for the ladies.Other Notes:o When using the flash as a light, the light makes the edges "glow" and it's a neat effect.o With the protruding camera on back, the case will not protect the camera glass area.o This case adds minimal bulk and weight, which is important for a phone this big. I do have the Otter Box case, but it made the phone so huge, I do not use it any more.o Cheap!o I've had a couple of drops already, and fortunately it was either on the side or back. The case worked. However, it won't protect the glass from a direct hit. With these slip cases, even a flat front face fall onto a hard surface can cause the glass to crack. Be aware of these limitations that will be true of any slip type cover.Conclusion:o I'd give this a solid 4 stars if not for the Power and Volume molds. Since I had to modify it, I took off a star. With the modification, this is a great value.

Great flexible case with minimal impact on looks. Perfect if you want to have a design insert on the back of your phone as it is totally clear.Cable cutouts (charger, headphones) and microphone, speaker and IR cutouts are the proper size and location without being oversized. Headphone and charger cutout were the perfect size for inserting standard cables.Only issue I had was the section of the case covering the buttons made them exceptionally sensitive (not enough space on the inside of the case) but that was resolved with a sharp knife and a steady hand.Feels great in the hand - enough friction to prevent sliding out of your hand, but smooth to the touch and easy to clean. Also easy to remove quickly if you have a dock or device (like a drone controller) that won't accept your Note 4 with the case on.

This case is exactly what I wanted. I ordered cases for my new Note 4 - made by Spigen and Ringke..names that people seem to revere and I thought must therefore be good? Wrong! I sent them back (and fortunately Amazon is good like that!). They were either too HARD, too HEAVY, too BULKY or too SLIPPERY.This simple but well made gel case is slim, light, smooth enough to stay clean but sticky enough to stay put in your hand ... and a cinch to get on and off (eg if you want to change the battery or the SIM)... which some of the others are not.All in all I love it. And all for a fiver.

All good! There are a lot of options for covers but I wanted something that doesn't increase the already considerable size of the Note 4 and in clear so the original phone can be seen. Perfect in this respect and a good tight fit. I had to increase the aperture for the headphones (hence 1 star reduction) as my plugs wouldn't fit but other than that I can recommend it.. A bargain price too!**Review Edit ** 14 Feb 2016After just 4 months in use I have had to throw it away and buy an alternative product (cover) as the clear case has become yellow/smoky in appearance. It has done its job of protecting the phone to be fair, but the idea of buying a clear cover is so the phone's own "beauty" can be seen / shown off. Poor phone looked like it was a 40 a day smoker after 4 months so time for the bin.

Very pleased with this, I have an SM-910F and it's a perfect fit, other than one microphone hole is a little out of place, but it's still just clear so will work.The material is of good quality and feels nice in the hand being quite grippy but not sticky. It softens off the hard edges and makes it more comfortable to hold,especially for gaming.The covered buttons, power and volume both still operate very well and are recessed into the cover as opposed to sticking out as they did which makes them less likely to get accidentally bumped, but still work nicely. Rear thickness is just enough to protect the protruding camera lens, but no thicker which would add unnecessary bulk.Earphone clearance is about 8mm dia, and is a little tight but does work with my earphones.Side protection is around 2mm additional on each side so should give decent but not unconditional drop protection. Protection to front glass is same with a 2mm thick and 2mm wide lip which gives good access to the screen.It's very easy to fit and remove the cover, yet the phone is secure within it with little chance of accidental removal.Clear colour looks great on the Note4 (mines a black note).Overall really pleased and would definitely recommend this product.

This very clear and transparent. Has a nice grip. I had a gel case in the past that actually was quite slippery, so this one gives confidence in carrying it. The microphone cut outs are correct, unlike my previous gel case. And the price is great!TIP: I keep an Oyster card inside. It's a tight fit with the Oyster inside, and the buttons didn't quite work. However heating it with a hairdryer then pressing it into place over the card has fixed this.
