Excellent Switch!
So this thing is slim and doesn't take up any space. I have it attached to the top of my desk with 3m double pads. I was worried that the wires would be loose and wiggle out. I have several switches that do this. This one doesn't. The wires are tight and fit snug. I use this to run a keyboard and mouse on 2 computers. The USB port is awesome so I can use a memory stick for both computers. I haven't done a hot swap or switched it while it is still active in the port yet. I'm a little worried it will glitch out and lose info. But they say you can do it. I just eject it on one computer before switching to the other computer and it hasn't lossed anything. The other thing I like about it is the solid click when I switch it. I know that sounds weird but I have some KVMs that don't give that feed back and I hate it. I guess the only thing I would like changed if it could be done (for looks mostly because I have cord management OCD) is put all the wires on the back and have the switch with indicator LEDs on the front, so it would be a truely desk mounted unit. However I made it work and it looks fine. Speed is great and it has true pass through. So when you switch it, the computer detects and wakes up right away. I love this. I know everyone says you can use it without power connected and you can, however I found that if you connect a hub to it, it draws alot of power and large hubs will not work. Adding power solved this though and I just run the power to spare usb on my main computer and it works great. If your looking for a small, slim, USB3 switch, this ones for you. It works great!

Cheap solution to connect home computer, work laptop, to (1) keyboard, (1) mouse
Because of SARS-COV-2, I am teleworking. I had a work Surface Pro for which I purchased the older docking station. I did not care for the Surface Pro trackpad, though the keyboard itself is quite good. So I purchased an inexpensive Logitech wireless mouse. I had an older Logitech wireless keyboard for my home computer. I got tired of swtiching between keyboards and mice. This device solved my problem. It has two USB 3.0 input ports; you run one cable to a USB 3.0 port on your home computer, in my case I ran one USB cable to the back of the Surface Pro docking station. You have 4 "output" ports. I plugged the wireless receivers for my Logitech keyboard and mouse into 2 out of the 4 available output ports. Then I ran a small USB expander hub out of port 3/4 of this device. And I have one open USB output port.By depressing one button, control of the keyboard and mouse switches between my Surface Pro and my home computer and the switching is very fast over USB 3.0. You really don't have to wait. Separately, I used a miniDisplayPort to HDMI cable to go from the Surface Pro dock into a HDMI splitter box (2 inputs, 1 output to your main, larger monitor). So I can have independent monitors, or I can mirror the Surface Pro monitor onto my much larger main home monitor. I completely removed the Surface Pro keyboard. I like the angle of the Surface Pro as it sits in its dock. And now I have more desk space to work with. This unit is plastic and very light. So far, however, the button to switch between inputs has performed perfectly. I don't know how long this unit will last but it is working well so far. So I give it 5 stars for being inexpensive and working in the manner described.

Pretty good USB switch except for one flaw (UPDATED Review)
This USB switch is actually quite nice for the cost. It gets the job done and is easy to use. I did not need to plug in any additional power source to get it to work (just have a keyboard and mouse plugged into with usb drive now and then). The only thing keeping me from giving this five stars is, as other reviewers have pointed out, the usb sockets are way too tight. I mean really tight. It makes it difficult to plug in and unplug usb accessories. This may not sound like a big issue but if you use any low-profile usb drives or dongles or a wireless usb receiver for your mouse or keyboard like I do, you have to be very careful. I actually broke my logitech wireless usb receiver for my mouse trying to remove it from this usb switcher and had to use pliers to remove the usb part. If you are only plugging in standard size usb, you at least have a little more room to wiggle it out of the switch but it's still too snug for my liking.UPDATE 01/30/2021: I wanted to update my review to reflect my positive experience I had with the seller and the product warranty. The product comes with a generous 1 year warranty, which I did not expect I would ever actually use but it’s good peace of mind that they will stand by their product. My USB 3.0 Switcher has been working well for many months since my purchase aside from my one complaint in my initial review. I’ve found that I didn’t switch inputs very often (my mouse, keyboard, and webcam stay connected to the switcher pretty much all the time) so my initial complaint about the USB ports being very tight (and are still tight to this day) wasn’t a huge problem after a while of using the product. However, recently I was having issues with the switcher reliably switching my inputs over to my second computer and contacted the seller about my issue. They were very nice and understanding of my problem and kindly sent me a replacement within a week of contacting them!If you are on the fence about this product after reading through some of the reviews like I was, I thought I would share my experience with their customer support to help you with your decision. I would endorse this product based on that alone.
