No new information,this book has a lot of common knowledge stuff that anyone with insomnia already knows. The workbook is a joke to have you writing down a lot of stuff like how do you feel about this and that knowing no one but you will review the entries. I was done with the book and threw the book in the trash when I read when you get sleepy get in the bed. I'm never sleepy,thats the problem, I'm always alert. Trust me you can learn more on you tube save your money..

Amazing book with amazing results!
This book was just what I was looking for. For the past 10 years, I've struggled with sleeping. I'd almost get angry getting ready for bed, knowing it would be a struggle. My former doctor just wanted to prescribe meds for me. Oh sure, they'd work but I didn't like the idea of a drug getting me to sleep. And, I was concerned with long term effects. This book gave me tools to help me relax and learn how to naturally fall asleep. I did not realize that some of my daily activities were actually hindering my ability to fall asleep. Following the advice in this book has been so enlightening. It is well written, easily understood and I would highly recommend this to anyone who needs help to sleep. You will learn so much. Thank you, Dr Barrett! Well done!

Didn't Help Me Too Much
I got this book in desperation to get some sleep but most of the suggestions were ones I've already tried (such as getting out of bed when I can't sleep - that just makes me more anxious). The one thing I found slightly helpful was the cognitive therapy. But accepting sleeplessness when I just can't function and feel awful is something I cannot do! I understand it's up to the individual though - some might find this more helpful than others.

Didn’t work for chronic insomniac
I was hopeful but this was not the answer for me. I think for someone who is retired or doesn’t work this program which is based on sleep restriction therapy, would help.I found myself falling asleep at the wheel and unable to work. It was hazardous for me. But I’m glad I gave it a shot. I guess I’ll try hypnosis next.I’ve had chronic insomnia for ten years and have taken ambien nearly nightly for that long.

Great resource for anyone with sleep problems
Well written. The progression through the program is logical and easy to follow. I have occasional nights with very little to no sleep. This book has helped reduce those nights considerably. I would highly recommend it for anyone with sleep problems.

Great self help workbook on sleep!
This book was very well written in an easy and concise format. It educates you on all the varied aspects of problem sleeping. I am welll on my way to many blissful nights of sleep. I'm sure you will learn severals things involved in your sleep cycle that you did not know. Well worth reading and more importantly, participating. Thanks to Dr Barrett!

Not one new thing that can't be found on line-
I was so disappointed- nothing new - a waste of time it took to order- just go on line and you can find all of it with a little research-

Must do the work to see benefits!
Haven't finished yet but the advice is excellent and the worksheets help you to see patterns in your sleep that could be causing problems.
