Easy to use and set up.

Purchases with own funds for use with my classroom ($619) since I am not provided with technology. I am a mobile teacher and as such have a cart that this rides on. The neck falls lower and lower with any jostling of moving cart between classrooms but still works. Was later assigned a room due to increase in class sizes I teach. Elmo has not moved at all for last 8 months. This morning Elmo will not turn on. The on button remains red and will not click to blue. It is under warranty but the requirements are that I ship it to Elmo for fixing in preferable their original box.To fix this, I am required by ELMO to box it, insulate from shocks, purchase insurance, and pay for shipping! This has been a very expensive choice and I probably will have to purchase a different brand when I become a mobile teacher again.Update:Received ELMO in 4 days with a 5 degree wobble to camera head and two long parallel scratched to camera head housing. Seems they did not install the head as "tight" as they should have during repair. They blamed this on the shipping carrier.ELMO provided a return shipping label to remedy this but in the end I had to pay for boxes and bubble wrap and a new ELMO ac adapter and hdmi cable since they did not return these to me. I called and they informed me that the warehouse that opened the box did not find those items as shipped by me.If you are a mobile teacher stay with the budget $200 dollar ELMO or the $425 HoverCam Ultra 8 (which is the TT-12id direct competitor).5/26/20Now in distance teaching. Connected elmo to display through hdmi to check settings. Refuses to stay on and disconnects. When it does work, it will arbitrarily stop connecting at a later time with no rhyme or reason.Not dependable. Do I spend money again for shipping and insurance again. Better yet, I ordered another document camera for $100.

The doc camera never worked and did not even come with all that was pictured. It was returned in the original box but I was charged a restocking fee of $58.73 and a $26 tax? For an item that NEVER worked from day ONE! Ridiculous! Buyers BEWARE! Stay clear of this seller.

My twelve year old Elmo finally stopped working and I needed a replacement. The newer model works so much better than the older model: better picture quality, higher magnification, lighter, but just as sturdy. I really want to try the recording feature on the newer model.

Brand New! This document reader is a must have for all teachers. Excellent quality.
