Slipstrop Sharpening Kit with Strop and Gold Polishing Compound

Great sharpening tool for keeping blades sharp during use. Easy to use. The different shapes on the block were almost perfect in shape/ size for the lino cutting tools I have. It kept my blades sharp and cutting well as long as I used it often

Excellent speed of delivery. ( under 24 hours!) Only received yesterday so not able to give a detailed review as yet , but I have tried using the slipstrop and it seems to sharpen the tools well and with practice I think it will be very useful for my Lino printing 👍

I found this good for polishing my small wood carving tools however they need to be honed and already Sharp this product is for the final finish and can be used to touch up your edge whilst carving really quite handy . If only different grade stones were available with the same profiles it would make a nice little sharpening system .

Does the job sharpens the tools small and light arrived on time

This is an excellent product for the money, and copes well with V tools and spoon gouges. Not sure how successful it woul be for straight chisels. Well worth the money, as I have nowhere to store an electric grinder, and this can be taken away on trips and used anywhere.

Product does what I wanted it to do. Easy and effective to use.

This is perfect for whittling tools - the various angles and curves can be used to polish the inside edges of each of my tools. Handily it also offers curves for the outside edges too, and is easier to use than my flat stop.

This wooden block offers a variety of profiles for sharpening your cutting tools alongside a flat leather section when you turn it over. I found this leather section underneath was a little short and honing on a longer piece of leather like an old belt renders better results but the honing profiles are great to give a clean edge to the convex part of your tool. The wood is very soft, which may be wise to take care of the cutting edges but I'm not convinced that the item is incredibly robust and will wear quickly. I'm not sure I'll buy another when this gives out as I think it is overpriced for what it is but perhaps when I go back to honing without it I might understand it's true value as one can't put a price on sharp ready to work with tools.

If you have Flexcut knives/carving tools this is an absolute must. A minute or so using this product before or after using your tools each time dramatically alters their cutting ability. I’m deducting one star as I feel this essential is a little overpriced for what it is.
