MAN LAW BBQ Digital Instant Read Meat Gauge Thermometer with 7 Preset Meat Types

This is a sweet, easy to use digital thermometer. I use it primarily when I'm grilling outside but my wife also uses it for inside cooking jobs. It reads meat temps FAST and has preprogrammed temperature settings for beef (med rare, med, well done), pork, veal, hamburgers, and chicken. A small alarm will beep when meats have reached the programmed temps, so you have audio and visual confirmation. The best part is the price. I've used way more expensive thermometers that aren't nearly as good as this $16 unit. In fact, the next best digital meat thermometer I've used was more than $100. It does has 2 small deficiencies - 1) the instructions aren't very good (ie - they don't tell you that you have to twist the unit open to access a small switch to change between farenheit and celcius); and, 2) the only cover for the probe is a small black vinyl thing that can be easily lost. A full length probe cover for storage would be nice. Overall use is fairly intuitive, the readings are fast and accurate, and its easy to use and clean up. I've gotten quite a few compliments on my beef and pork since I started using it. Its now my go-to meat cooking tool.

I am not a reader of instructions. I am able to figure this out, but it should not be as complicated as it is. I guess I was looking for something a bit more simple where I could just read the temperature. So far no issues with it and it has read temps in about 5-10 seconds successfully which beats waiting for the remote thermometer to read. It means less time checking multiple places on the meat and closing the smoker quicker. Good product and I would buy it again. I may try to find something a bit simpler that does not beep at me every time I check a piece of meat.

VERY QUICK . I GRILL 33 CUT UP CHICKENS EVERY JULY 4TH ON 9 WEBER GRILLS. ABLE TO REMOVE FROM GRILL AS SOON AS COOKED. MOST PEOPLE HAVE NEVER HAD JUICY CHICKEN FROM GRILL. ALWAYS WAY OVER COOKED.

I have this thermometer and my DIL liked it so much I gave this one to her for Christmas. She couldn't wait to cook a dinner to use it. I use mine all the time, I love the instant read and that the names of the meat..with the recommended heat temp are on the thermometer. So helpful.

I bought this item because I wanted an instant read meat thermometer.It comes with no instructions. Mine will power on, but inserting the probe into the meat does not seem to do anything. I have stood there for a good 30 seconds waiting to get a read from this so-called instant read thermometer. As there were no instructions included, I have no idea what I could possibly be doing wrong since every other meat thermometer I've owned requires you to put the probe into the meat and wait for a read.Does not work as advertised. Would not recommend.

I really like this thermometer. Easy to set,easy to use. Reads quickly.

I used this in a commercial kitchen and also at home and love this thermometer. It is small enough to be used with smaller food items, but large enough to read. Setting it and using it are easy and the slide-in holder is very nice to have when you want to have it handy in your pocket!

This is a functional quick read thermometer that takes an accurate quick reading and is easy to use. It has pre-set temps that it will beep once reached for a variety of common meats at med-rare to well done. Can be read in deg C or deg F.It has a small black silicone cover for the end (which I lost after the second use). Otherwise, this has been a fairly good BBQ tool for me and has lasted through my abuse for the last 8 months. It is not particularly rugged, but I would recommend for the price.
