Stays on all day, you only need to reapply it if you are eating proper lunch or dinner, the colour comes a bit of on the inner part of your lips. If you are just eating a biscuit or drinking coffee, tea, any liquid it stays on. I work long shifts at work and my lips look the same after 8 hour shift like when I applied it in the morning. The colour is nice bright red
