Very useful, good looking, handy, GNU/Linux friendly, worth the money
THE GOODThe first thing that attracted me in this laptop is that it comes with SSD with just the space I needed for work and an HDD big enough to store my personal stuff. Then I looked up some reviews for buid quality and keyboard - things that are top priority for me. They are up to the mark as the reviews have suggested. I have given my heart to the Thinkpad keyboard. So, since this keyboard does not make me miss my beloved so much I can bet it is good. Keyboard backlight works well. I don't need them 99.99% of the time and I could live without it but nice to have it for 0.01% of times. Thinkpads turn them on everytime I boot and it is annoying but this laptop does not. Touchpad is also very good and responsive. Webcam is excellent. Speakers are also good. I am not much concerned with looks but it does look good indeed. The body does not catch dust that easily and is easy to clean if at all it does. It is smaller than a few other 14'' laptops due to smaller bezel which makes it easier to use on travel. I have used it on taxis, suburban trains and auto rickshaws.THE BADBattery might be a concern for a few. For workplace/home use, it won't matter at all but if you are on the move a lot it may bother you. I get about 5 hours of battery life while using Manjaro Linux. I seldom use Windows, mainly to build Windows installers of our software. When I do, half the time the fan is in top speed - be it exracting files from archives, compiling the installer code, or copying large files. This never happens with Linux. Although, it does get heated up when I am attending a video call with more than 6 people in it and am charging simultaneously. It cools down when I stop charging.NOTE FOR GNU/LINUX USERSAs of now, GRUB does not come preconfigured to enable the built in support for the latest NVME SSD that comes with this laptop. You can edit /etc/default/grub file to make it work. At first boot you may need to edit grub and apply the change and then edit the grub file to make the change permanant. Change the line that starts with "GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT" to this.GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet nvme_core.default_ps_max_latency_us=5500 apparmor=1 security=apparmor resume=UUID=b8357874-62c1-42ba-b8aa-0163170bdde9 udev.log_priority=3"Then run an update-grub and you are good to go.

Beware of Defective Display. Otherwise worth the purchase for non-gaming use.
First time they delivered the laptop the display was defective as it had keyboard imprints in it.otherwise i really like the laptop but i won't say its the perfect ever.Pros.1)Light weight, compact and has premium look.2) Amazing backlit keyboard.3)good 1080p display4)SSD+HDD+8gb ram which makes it Superfast as well as super useful to store data.5)Decent speaker which is becoming increasingly rare to find.Cons.1) low battery life.2) Does get heated up quickly.i purchased this for academics and coding so i dont regret my purchase at all. but delivering faulty display one first and then replacing to get a new one was a bad experience as i couldn't complete an assignment on time because i didn't have a laptop at hand.EDIT: 2 1/2 months usage review! The laptop is still going strong. Didn't run into any problem so far. Keyboard is still amazing. Everything is blazing fast thanks to SSD. The compact nature and lightness is a great thing since I can around this everywhere without any problem. Low battery life that I felt in the initial days is not very much a problem now. I can get easily 6 7 hours on this running Intellij java compiler, Jupyter notebook and other programs. Heating is also not there much. It gets heated up sometimes due to obvious reasons like running high-requirement software or while using the laptop when it is charging and so on. Not so much of a problem. Laptop deserves 5 star for non-gaming use but the seller sold me defective one at first so I'm still sticking to my 4 star.

A model in economy price with high configuration
Good one. I have been using it from past 9 months. Battery life and laptop is good. But there are keyboard impression on screen, so I raised a service ticket on 01st April, they came for fixing it during 1st week of July. While fixing the issue, another problem got created and motherboard, keyboard are spoiled. I've been following up with HP customer care, Service Center, Service head but nothing is of any help. Hence this review is for HP Service.

No performance as expected
I am using this laptop for software development purpose since last 7 months. Heating problem is my main issue with this product. Battery life is around 3 hours. Good for normal users not for Software Developer.
