The belt is not 100% leather. It has a leather top (presumably 2 because it is reversible) and synthetic leather lining. I hope this helps.

Yes. The width of the belt in mm can be converted to inches by dividing by 25.4. A 35mm belt is 1.38" wide (or 1 3/8"). A 40mm belt is 1.57" wide (or 1 9/16").

Is this belt adjustable length?

I wish I had read TA Canada's reply before I drilled an extra hole in the belt. It was about 6" too long, but yes, it is adjustable. Rotate the buckle perpendicular to the belt, get a thin flat blade, pry the inside end of the rotated clamp piece open, pull the leather out, there you go. Cut off the end of the leather, notch the center a little bit for the center post, push it back into the clamp piece, clamp it back down, rotate it back into position.
