Razer Ferox Mobile PC Gaming Speakers

Okay, these are louder than your laptop speakers, however they don't sound very good. They are adequate, but overpriced considering the quality of the audio and the competition out there.This might be specific to the set I got ---> You have to push the top down to turn them on, one of the speakers I got has a crooked lid that never really looks closed. Also, one of the speakers makes a popping noise every time you close it, it actually sounds like a pop from the speaker not from the materials rubbing or clipping.There are blue lights that light up at the base of the speakers, but they are flashing almost all the time which I find super annoying, its like a slow strobe light going off while I'm trying to pay attention to the screen, I wish they didn't exist.These speakers have batteries built in which is completely unnecessary as I will never use these not attached to USB for power, so I'm not sure why that is even a feature of these speakers considering they are sold to be used with a laptop... It just adds to the cost, and there are much better rechargeable wireless speaker options out there in this price range that sound better.I have a big laptop and I find that the cables are just barely long enough to work, it would have been nice to have an extra 6 inches of cable at least.And you cannot tell which speaker is left or right without unplugging the speakers. The L and R is only marked on the end of the cable where it plugs into the speakers, and the label is covered when they are plugged in. Not a big deal, but if you carry them around by the cable, or just toss them in your bag with the cables attached you have to unplug them to know which side they go on.It would have been nice to have some cool looking braided or green rubber cables to go with these as the black cabling is kinda ugly.I still use them, but I have my radar on for a different set of small speakers that sound better. Get them used or something, the MSRP price is terrible, try not to pay over 30 bucks or so for these.

You are paying for the ability to say you have neat, wide-area-of-effect, low-output, speakers. If this is your thing than I would definitely buy them. Which is why I did because I use a lot of low audio, and I have an oddly shaped office. I can use them while gaming on my desk, or even when using my exercise bike and watching my connected LCD TV.As far as quality is concerned it is not worth anywhere near the price; having about the same sound quality as a $20 Logitech set. Also these are LAPTOP speakers, meaning LAPTOP quality sounds, i.e. no base, very "tinny".Also you have to turn off BOTH speakers, which can't be done super fast if you are used to a single push/twist button to silence your computer.The novelty of the push down/up speaker is what you are paying for.Overall these are very neat. Their push-to-open operation works very smoothly. I like how they use USB's for all the connections minus the audio (which is also good, meaning they are USB powered), though the light up function would be nicer if they didn't still light up when turned off, but overall they do look very neat.As far as using these for a mobile laptop, I have no idea why you would ever buy speakers for your laptop that have a surround, broad-area, speaker. I see it annoying anyone around you very quickly.

I bought these for use with my laptop in my office and was somewhat disappointed.Pros:-These speakers are tiny, they will fit virtually anywhere-They look AMAZING! LED glows blue to indicate when they are on and Red to show when they are low on battery-The carrying case is great quality-Definitely perfect for portability-Can turn EACH speaker off individually which is cool if you have one next to a desk phone and need to put someone on speaker.-They can be cranked up loudCons:-Cable included is WAY to short, not over 3 feet I'd estimate and the fact that you have 1 cable to plug into USB, Audio Jack, and both speakers, while convenient for the whole portability factor, sucks for all of my current setups (I use 2 monitors and cannot get the speakers around both sides)-Lacks virtually any sort of bass, which I guess is to be expected (I have a 3rd party sound card and have adjusted mixer settings and was still unable to achieve a respectable amount of bass)-Not really the 360 degree sound they advertise, which I guess is also to be expectedOverall:I'd say these are practical portable speakers that look great and don't sound terrible. While there are definitely more Pros than Cons listed, sorry to say that in this case the Cons for me outweigh the Pros enough that I will be returning these.

I bought this to replace an old iHome model that looked and functioned virtually the same. These speakers look sleek, have satisfactory battery life, and are, above else LOUD. Much louder than the previous ones i had and definitely fill a room with sound. the sound is crisp and good quality. Bass is great for what you can expect from such a device. I would definitely recommend buying.

I've had these speakers for about a year now. I absolutely love them. It's perfect for watching movies in a decent size room. It provides more than enough volume and outputs quality sound.It's better than most big brand speakers I've had.

I've seen better audio quality in small speakers. For the price, the quality of the exterior is very good but the speaker quality is 7/10.

A decent pair of speakers for the price, I like the metal construction and charging lights, the treble is clear although the bass leaves something to be desired.

The speaker is really cool and cute. It is quite small and very easy to carry out. That is the reason I like Razer! The shipment is also very fast.
