WORKPRO 7.2V 2-in-1 Cordless Grass Shear + Shrubbery Trimmer - Handheld Hedge Trimmer, Rechargeable Lithium-Ion Battery and Charger Included

I’ve had this tool for a year now and Workpro products have really been impressing me lately on stamina and durability, affordability and innovation. This tool is perfect for fine trimming around the base of plants in a garden, along decorative rocks, or use the longer attachment to trim bushes. For an affordable price, you can have both grass shears and bush trimmers. How I went so long without these is beyond me. I use it just like a hair stylist uses an electric shaver and it makes my garden look so manicured and maintained. I recommend using a garden fork to “comb” grass and weeds towards you as you work, then passing the grass shears slowly over the combed grass. Grass haircut! (See what i mean in this YouTube vid: https://youtu.be/zVSLe8csdRw )Battery: The battery life always impresses me, and I usually tire myself out before the battery dies. (The reviews that mention a start-and-stop failure are maybe not charging it correctly, as this happened to me once). There is a light at the bottom of the tool lights that lights up and blinks as it is charging. It stops blinking and stays green once the charge is full. I am surprised with how long the charge stays in storage. I didn’t use the tool for a couple months in winter and yet it still turned on without recharging. A feature I would add is a way to tell when the battery needs charging, at least a 25% blink light or something. It’s not fun getting ready to garden only to find out there was only 3 minutes of juice left.Safety: I like the auto-stop safety feature when the blades encounter a hard object like a rock, branch, or fence. I have yet to test it on my limbs haha. I also appreciate the safety two-trigger feature. Use a garden fork (looks like a tiny rake) to grab grass as you trim in order to keep your hands away from the blade.Power: This handheld tool is targeted at DIY gardeners, and probably not suited for powerful professional settings. The blades don’t move as fast as commercial cutters, nor do they cut as fast. Someone who is already used to the weight of a gas powered cutter might feel like this is a toy. It is these tradeoffs that make it perfect for home use: slower blades = safer motion, and electric power + plastic frame = amazingly lightweight. I personally can’t or want to use a heavy gas or plug in tool for my one rose bush.Aesthetic and other: I wish the handle was slimmer: often my small hands ache after using this tool all afternoon. Super lightweight due to the plastic framing, and no pesky cords to deal with. I would love it if it came in various bright colors besides green as it would be easier to locate it as I’m working and putting it down in grass. Seriously guys: don’t make all the garden tools green :)Storage: I use the same box it comes in to store it, although I use it so much that it mostly lives on my entryway table. The blades come with custom fitted protector cases so that I know they won’t be banging around inside a box. The box it came in is only cardboard and already wearing out, so it would have been nice to get a more reusable one.Note: like any tool, CARE is important. Be sure to throughly DRY the blades after each use, and thoroughly CLEAN and dry with rubbing alcohol before storing them. Otherwise you’ll get rust before the end of the season like some reviews say.Happy gardening!

The WORKPRO cordless grass shear is an excellent tool for light gardening tasks. It's compact, easy to handle, and perfect for trimming edges, small bushes, and hard-to-reach areas where a large trimmer can't go. The rechargeable battery has good runtime for short sessions, and switching blades is quick and simple. It's not meant for heavy-duty work, but as a complementary tool, it does the job very well.

WorkPro…?NO WORK BRO!This chargeable tool seems to charge, ok, but every attempt to use it resulted in no action, no movement, dead in the water, lump in my hand - nothing!Yes, I missed the window, before it was first charged and I realized the problem, (my bad, but, bro…)I’m only guessing this was not the first sale.The purchaser before me, return it in time, my luck!!Consider above star as one negative star…I discourage the purchase of this and of any WorkPro product, out of principle, cause I’m and can’t cut my shrubs!!!~ j

I really enjoy having this tool for working on the yard. I usually use my long hedge trimmer and sometimes it gets annoying to use on small bushes. This really takes that problem away. The battery is inside the device and does not need to be removed for charging. You can plug the device can be plug directly into the wall charger that is provided. On continuous use you will get around three hours of battery life before you notice the device weakens. It takes about four to six hours to fully charge. The device has two different heads for cutting bushes or just trimming branches. Both tools heads are sturdy and cut through almost anything. There are safety features built in to ensure you cannot just press a button to turn it on. It has two switch feature to ensure safety but you can still operate with comfort. Overall if you have a small yard or bushes this tool is great. You can easily operate it with one hand and it works like a knife cutting through butter.

Have had for 3 years, used maybe 5 times to trim honey suckle vines. Plugged in to charge and let it charge for 2 days and it no longer works.
