The elbow en shoulder pads are not that great and the jacket comes with no back protection which I believe is the most important one. When I got the jacket. I tried it out softly hiting my elbows to my table top., That clearly gave me a good point reference that they will not protect me that much in a slow speed accident. That's why I gave it a 2/5 value for the money. At the end is for security reasons I bought the $225+ jacket and not much for the looks, comfort, or resistance to water.
