Powerful because it is practical.
This is my favorite book on managing email, and I have read a lot of these books. As a Professional Organizer and Productivity Coach I find most of these books reiterate the same principles to manage your inbox. Joost takes it further in two ways. He asks you to really dig in and think about why you want to make changes. He also challenges you to make some deeply ingrained habit changes and he does this not theoretically, but in a concrete manner. Chapters 5 and 6 have exercises that have you journal and analyze what you are doing now. If you are really committed to making changes you will DO THESE Exercises. They get to you understand what you are doing now, so that you can embrace and commit to new habits, which are laid out later. The new habits are nothing earth shattering if you've read articles or books on this subject. I believe the key is that Joost leads to to a headspace that will embrace these protocols. Buy the book, but DO the exercises. I think this is going to be much more powerful to a lot of people.

One day with this book solved my email processing problems
I'm still going to read the rest of the book to work on improving more. I came back from two weeks of PTO and had almost 1000 emails to work through - instead, I read the introduction and the first action items. Its all common sense of course, and we could all work out the same solutions over time, so consider this book a quick-start on your own path to email bliss. And, now I'm lecturing others on what has to change to solve our office's email problems.

Amazing Book that changed my life
This was an amazing book - it changed my life. I used to spend all day in my inbox and put off important tasks that were key to my business success. I would also wake up in the middle of the night worried about what emails I might have missed. The 15 minute inbox gave me control over my inbox and confidence to know that I didn't miss anything. I did a presentation on the book to my team and my family. People continue to thank me for showing them the strategies from the 15 minute inbox.

Finally a book that works
This is one of the few 'how-to' books that really delivers on promise. After just a week and a half and only halfway through the book, I had my first empty in-box experience, the dream of any email enslaved professional. While this book is very practical and has an almost instant pay-back it covers the issue of managing your email and thus your time in a holistic way. It contains essential tips and tricks but also goes into the mindset and conceptions we all have and that prevent us from being more efficient and more effective. We take driving lessons before we can take a car to the road. In the same way, you should read this book before you start using email.

Breaking down the email barrier
Being a productivity consultant, I read the book of Joost Wouters with professional interest. I was positively surprised with the content and the proposed MAIL methodology. I have read many books on the subject, but almost all of them are about mail tactics, while Joost manages to cover the whole spectrum from mindset, to high level goalsetting. So this book is not only about email, but can actually change your life. Nevertheless, e-mail is for most people the first and foremost barrier to a more accomplished life, therefore Joost' approach to start there is very practical and grounded.

15-Minute Inbox should be a class taught in school!
The tips and ideas in Joost Wouters' book "The 15-Minute Inbox" are great time savers. Wish I'd read it long ago. Employers should give this book to all new employees and existing employees because the time that would be saved would definitely make-up for the cost of the book. Especially love the tip to create rules so emails go straight to designated folders. What a valuable read.

Best book to manage your emails - you won't regret it
Prior to reading this book, I struggled to manage my emails. I always had more than 100 emails within my inbox. I found it very difficult to prioritise my work and it was quite stressful trying to remember everything. Plus it felt as though I would never catch up.This book changed everything for me. I am now in full control of my inbox. I have clear plans on how to manage my working days. I successfully changed the expectations from my colleagues by controlling when I read and responded to emails. I now simply feel more productive and in control of my working day. I can go home knowing that nothing has been missed from my inbox and tomorrow’s plan is prepared. This book is very simple to read and follow. It will take time for you to fully implement to ensure it becomes a habit, but I can assure you that each day is a little easier. Definitely worthwhile.

Excellent
I told myself I'd review this once I'd cleared my inbox which I've now completed (less than a week after buying the book!). Written very clearly with some great tips on controlling not only what's already in your inbox, but also what's pouring in every minute! Highly recommend.

This really has transformed my working life
I was desperate with my out of control inbox at work, as was my PA. Once I had read and started to put into practice the very simple method outlined in this book I breathed a sigh of relief. It has freed up my PA to do loads of other more valuable stuff.
