Aguri DX1000 Dash Cam with 1296 Super HD video recording and GPS speed trap detection

This is my second DX1000 as I became fed up moving it from my camper van to the car etc. Of course it must be sited where the camera has clear view ahead but does not obstruct the drivers’s view. For me that means top of screen. I use it mostly for the dash cam function, The other alarms are all set to an audible alert (red light camera, speed camera, average speed camera etc) and I can assure you that they are not there to help me to speed, I don’t speed in any of my vehicles intentionally, they are set to ensure I comply and do not allow my attention to drift. They can annoy my passengers but it’s my licence so they are staying. The delivery was prompt, packing excellent, the product is easy to set up, I have used my first one for 18 months now and highly recommend them.

A brilliant item with no yearly update subscriptions to buy. It works straight from the box (the cable is quite lengthy but is a USB & comes with a cigarette socket adapter too). When driving it alerts you of 'speed traps' & the speed limit for that road/motorway (it's accurate majority of the time but keep a look out for average speed limits too).... The dash cam function is excellent too!!4 Stars & would definitely recommend.

Yes you can use straight from box and I did. The device is quite unobtrusive and easy to set up. The only gripe I have and hope this will be sorted when downloading new updates, is you constantly keep getting speed trap warnings and I mean a multitude of them. Most of these warnings are outdated and I suspect from long gone road works and I mean long gone. It has not put me off having the device on but it is disturbing when you know nothing is there.I will do another update to this when I've downloaded latest and after next long run.

As promised, I just had to plug this in and it was ready to go. The menus are easy to follow. Screen seems really clear. It does seem to detect mobile speed cameras along my daily commute that are not there, nor have ever been, on a small town road, but I just ignore it. It's very sensitive when handling outside the car, and switches on really easily, but it soon switches off again. I found the micro SD card fiddly to install, but it just needed a sharp push with a fingernail, I was being too gentle.Seems to be very good, and gives me peace of mind in today's deliberate bad driving and deliberate accidents.

Very good value easy to use voice is a little tinny but soon got use to it

Nice clear voice when approaching camera areas and very accurate, I did have a few problems initially as I’m not very computer savvy, however like most of my generation, I got my son to sort that out and now the software is up and running, I’ve done a test viewing and am very happy with the results

Rubbish it does not detect Speed cameras of any type It just goes off where Its nose they usually are Very disappointed Specially when it said it detects them

Wanted mainly for the speed cameras, it performs well used with a satnav to plenty of warnings for cameras. Well built easy to use and update although the USB adapter supplied was duff didn't work luckily I had another adapter spare. Plug and play unit but recommended you update it straight away.
