Buy if you like flickering lights.
These are only dimmable if you don't mind a strobe light affect. I bought one set and tried them out, everything seemed ok for a couple days and I ordered 2 more. The new ones all flickered immediately and the initial set began flickering after a week or so. I'm not talking subtle flickers at a really low setting. We're talking about obnoxious strobing and if you push the dimmer to full the lights will cut out and then come back at full. This is on several different types of switches and I even swapped out the switched to high end smart dimmers with no change in outcome. I'm past being able to return these, but they're basically useless unless they're in fixed lights and you don't want dimming. I went and got the Costco flood lights and they don't have this problem.

Good inexpensive LED Option
Installed 10 of these in our house a little over a week ago. No dead bulbs in the bunch, all seem to come on at pretty much the same time. 4 stars for now, too early to tell how these do as far as over all life of the bulb and, I swear at times I see a tiny bit of flickering. It's very minor and no one in the house has said anything but every now and then I'll catch it. Not bad enough to keep me from getting them again if needed, assuming they last as long as advertised. One other thing I might nit pick is it would be great to have one more color option between these "soft white" (really more of a warm white...) and the day light options. These are a bit on the warm size color wise but I didn't want to put the full day light bulbs in that are a bit too harsh for the area. Plenty of brightness though, so you won't have to worry about that.

Will not be buying these again.
Second update: 2 more bulbs burned out in less than a year...will not be buying these again...I guess you get what you pay for with these. So far these seem to be good bulbs. I have one of these bulbs in a room with 7 other bulbs from a different manufacturer and there is a very minimal delay, maybe a second, if even that, to this bulb turning on compared to the other bulbs. I doubt anyone would even notice it and if you had all the same bulbs in a room, there would be no delay at all.Update:Purchased these in March, 2019 and it's now January 2020 and one of the bulbs is really flickering and needed to be replaced. It lasted less than a year. At the time, I only needed to replace 2 bulbs with these. If the second one fails early as well, I will provide another update. The second bulb was installed 2 months after the first bulb that failed.

Flickered right out of the box
Out of the six in the package, 1 flickered right out of the box. I would recommend going with a better brand name if you're looking for a good bulb.

Pay Attention To What You're Ordering
Good quality LED lamps for your recessed lighting ... best to have a few extras on hand as a lamp or two will have longevity issues. Most will operate for years without issue. A PROBLEM ... as of this writing Amazon has a disconnect between what you select on the product page and the product description. When you select "daylight" the product description will read "soft white." And when you select "soft white" the product description will read "daylight". Make sure what's in your cart is what you want. I'm wondering how many folks are getting the wrong color spectrum lamps and not even realizing they didn't get the product they actually ordered.

1 in 5 will burn out in a year!!
I’m glad I waited a while to review these bulbs. Outside of the fact that LED bulbs use less electricity, they are supposed to last a long time. These don’t last. And when the burn out, they don’t just burn out like a normal bulb. They will randomly turn on/off before they die completely, which is honestly more annoying than just burning out completely. Supposed to last 9 years, but in reality some of these burn out after a year. The real issue is that they are inconsistent. So you buy a 6-pack, one burns out, and you just buy another 6-pack so you can replace them as the individually fail. I’m amazed at how many of these Amazon basics bulbs have burnt out. I’d say about 1 in 5 go bad within a year, which is just ridiculous. I’m ditching all of these and getting some quality canned light retros instead. I’m done buying these bulbs. Spend your money on something better.

LEDs with fluorescent's nasty strobing effect.
After two tries at these lights (replaced, then returned) I say stay away. There is a constant mild flickering/strobing effect to the bulbs. Out of 10 bulbs checked, 10 bulbs had the problem. I've NEVER had anything like this with any other LED bulb, so clearly it's Amazon's cheaper version that's the problem. I'll stick to "real" brand names for LED lights now on. Poor product, Amazon!

Great replacement for incadescents
Moved into an early 90s built home and there are 28 recessed/can lights that have 65w incadescents in them.Ordered a 16pk, and installed throughout the house. There is less than a 1 second delay for them to turn on, all 16 worked out of the box, and comparing them to the incadescents as I installed each one, they are brighter. For the areas with dimmers, they dim the full range and have no issues. I do not see any flickering at the moment, but the house does have a solid updated electrical supply and interior wiring.May adjust the rating if they start to fail but I will be OK if one or two don't last the long haul. After the initial install I purchased another 16pk to replace the remaining bulbs. All in all, I will be saving 1500w if all 28 lights were on, plus no heat which will help in the summer with the AC.

Brighter than expected!
They work as supposed to! Very bright! Do not change these bulbs while up on a ladder after dark with the switch on. I know i turned the switch off but the wife says i didnt. ( i have my doubts as this has happened before ) The light was so bright when i changed the bulb i fell off the ladder and landed in my neighbors hedge. That in turn set off her motion lights which have like a gazillion watts and it further intensified the burning in my retina! This also triggered her alarm. I am a portly fellow and could not get out of the hedge easily. I swear i heard my wife start yelling “ its a burglar” when the neighbour came to see what all the commotion was. Needless to say the nice police officers helped me out of the hedge and gave me a free ride downtown. My wife did not answer my only call i was allowed to make. The police did offer me a nice breakfast the next day. My neighbour felt bad and picked me up from the station and promptly gave me a bill for new hedges....

Seemed like a good light
Only have them installed for a few days. Happy so far, no flickering or dead bulbs. Color range seems correct. Will update if things change.Update, the lights dont flicker but randomly they change brightness, not all at once or I would be thinking I have an electrical issue. Just random noticable light level changes. It's ok but adds to eye strain when working. If it was only one bulb I would think it's a dud but it is all of them. I will not buy these bulbs again.

Do not buy last only 6-7 months of light use
So you're looking for a led flood lamp to fit in your pot lamps...Don't bother with the amazon basics product. We have had these in our home for 7 months and all 6 of the lights are quickly failing. I just had to replace another this evening. The worst part is Amazon has no warranty of any kind for these lights. So 30 days after you buy them and you are on your own.

Not reliable
I bought these for lights I have in my finished basement. But within a few weeks, two of them burnt out (in rooms where the light was not kept on continuously), and I still have one that flickers occasionally; I will be in the bathroom, and suddenly the light will change--it's very odd. Just based on my personal experience with them, I wouldn't recommend these.

Wow - Super Bright!
Usually an "equivalent" LED bulb is lower in brightness (compared to incandescent bulbs) and sometimes an awful color like greenish or bluish white. I purposely ordered warm white and these bulbs are brighter than the incandescent ones that I replaced, yet still soft in color. Not sure how long they will last but they take much less power than those old-school ones. I'm happy with the purchase.
