What more can I say than this charger does what it’s intended to do. It can charge two devices at once and is very sleek in design. I also really appreciate the blue light in the USB ports to let you know there is power in the plug.

I love charging equipment. Like seriously, I love to have them everywhere. I love my wall chargers (I have 4), my external charges (I have 3), my different lengths of charging cables (I don't want to know how many), but I have never had a car charger I've thought of as more than "eh, it's decent." But this one is fantastic! Now, I'm not saying there aren't better ones out there. There could be, but this is the best one I've ever tried so far.First of all and most important, the performance. It is wonderful! I haven't done a test for how fast it will go if I don't use my phone at all, but if I'm playing music over bluetooth and using the GPS, it will still go up about 15%-20% in my 45-60 minute commute. So wonderful! Side note - I am using a charge-only cable which supposedly charges faster than a data cable, so that may or may not be effecting the results, I haven't tried it with another cord.Secondly, the size - this is by far the smallest little unit I've ever had in my car. It doesn't sit flush in my car (I have a 2014 Ford Focus, for reference...) but it also doesn't stick out very far. It just looks clean-cut compared to the bulky ones I've had in the pastThirdly, it has two ports. And it charges just as fast if you have two things plugged in. So convenient! I quite often have both my phone and my external charger plugged in to it while I'm driving around (told you, I love my chargers).I've been using this little guy very consistently for a month now and zero complaints, only happiness with it. It seems like very good quality but if it doesn't last long or performance goes down I will update my review.Update 1/9/18: STILL working awesomely. I thought it had finally started giving out last month, but it turned out I had bad usb cords. It still charges multiple devices just as quick as any wall charger I have, and I am ordering another one now for my husband's car!Update 12/20/19: Still good! I gave it to my brother and his wife when they were needing one (i had an extra sitting at home) because my car now has two outlets for these). So, no forward continuation on the longevity of my original, but it lasted me four and a half years and is now being enjoyed by someone else :) I will continue to buy Scosche chargers for as long as i see quality like this!

Update:I've been using this for a while now, and it's still performing like a champ. At least for Apple products, it charges the devices as quickly as if you are using the more powerful 12W iPad wall power adapters. I've never had a power interruption like some other low-profile chargers do when overheating at extended full-current usage. I also have not encountered any noisy Aux operation in my car's audio system, like some other adapters are prone to.If you are looking for a car charger for your iPhone or iPad, this is THE one to buy. I can't comment on other mobile devices.Original:Five star, for now. I'll update later, after I've been using it more. Unlike some unlucky purchasers, the one delivered was the one advertised.This charger is the one I've been wanting for a long time. With a family full of phone and tablet users who go on lots of long road trips, we go through a lot of these things. I always try to buy the best ones I can find, but I'm almost always disappointed. Most chargers that claim to have high output power do not have the USB data line impedance necessary for Apple devices to detect that they're plugged into a higher power charger. It makes no difference if the little sticker says "2A" if the phone only detects a 2.5W jack.I received this one yesterday and tried it out, and my phone appropriately identified the charger as 12W capable (even though it will only draw 5W Max). I will try plugging my tablet in later today to see if it will indeed supply 12W on one port while simultaneously providing 5W to my phone. If so, this will be the best 12V charger I've purchased.This is replacing an adapter (not this model) that burned up and quit working. I'm a little worried about this, due to its small form factor and power rating. In order to to provide such high power in this small form factor, it needs to be very efficient. Time will tell if it will continue to perform under heavy use, but to be honest, if it only lasts 6 months while performing as advertised, I would be happy to order another one to replace it at this price point.

Low profile, yet still easy to remove. Still charges my phone after a few months. The previous charger I bought died in a couple of months.

Y en efecto, carga dos iPad simultáneamente y lo hace rápido (a 2 amperes cada uno aparentemente); sin embargo hay que tener cuidado en caso de cargar dos Ipad, el calor generado es considerable. Nunca pasó nada malo pero considero que se genera una temperatura considerable cosa que no pasa con dos celulares o un Ipad y un celular.No he experimentado ningún tipo de problema por dejarlo conectado permanentemente.Debería darle 5 estrellas. Pero no me gusta lo siguiente:La luz azul es muy fuerte para el manejo nocturno, casi a nadie le molesta pero a mi sí.El largo del aparato excede el tamaño del socket por aproximadamente 2.5cms (1 pulgada) y pienso que eso altera la estética del auto. Nuevamente reconozco que a la mayoría de mis conocidos no les parecen importantes estas detalles y por eso solo le quito una estrella.Hace su trabajo muy bien.

After getting tired of buying crappy car chargers at gas stations I hit google to check some reviews and placed an order on amazon. This unit came highly recommended. It fits nice and flush inside the charging port, I can't stress that enough in some vehicles how important that is. It puts out the power too and charges my devices with no issues. The blue LED's are a nice touch. Highly recommended!

Love that it’s super short, doesn’t stick out in the way… in one of my vehicles with a recessed power outlet, however, it was impossible to remove, since it was below the recess lip. Be careful with how deep the socket outlet is in your vehicle and if there’s clearance enough to grab it again to pull it out!I just left it in.

Works great, I really like the way it's lit. No annoying bright LED on the outside, just a little ambient blue so you can find the ports. Also very good snug fit, my previous "free" promo single USB chargers were all junk and had to push them back in constantly because they were not a snug fit. It charged my tablet full while I was watching my tv show (parked at work, I get there early).Update 29 Dec. 2020 Still running like new! Used it all summer long on my motorcycle to charge my helmet cam when it ran out of juice, ran Garmin GPS on it, charged my phone.

Despite Scosche's claim that this charger is "optimized for iPod, iPhone and iPad", and despite iPod Classic being listed on Schosche's product page, this adapter will NOT charge the iPod Classic. (By contrast, I have an older CU4906 single port 1A adapter which has no problem charging an iPod Classic.) I wonder how many of the other features Scosche claims for this product are equally false.
