Works exactly how I'd expect. The horizontal dividers are removable in small sections, the vertical ones are not. I'm currently using seed beads, and the wells in this container are very deep. You want to rest this on a stable, flat surface as you fill it with your beads. The locking mechanism is stiff but firm, in a good way. It is a very sturdy case and I really like that I can adjust the size of the compartments to increase their size to double, triple, or further increase their space to up to 6 times the size. This container can have 36 small compartments as pictured, 18 compartments at twice the size, 12 compartments at triple the original size, 6 compartments that are quadruple the original size with 6 original size compartments, or 6 long rectangular compartments if you remove all the horizontal dividers. Adjust as needed to suit your needs!

Bought these for my moms jewelry box. She says she can fit 2 of these per drawer! She loves the fact her earrings wont have to be sorted every time she opens the drawer now, all she has to do is pick a box and pick the pair she wants! They are pretty shallow, but worked for my a/c o-ring assortment (I operate an automotive business and was on an organizing spree).

Love that the sections keep everything separated. Using it to store the small greens for the diamond paintings. The gems do not move into other sections. Good deal, good seal.

Exactly as described. You can remove the separators to make boxes bigger, and it's easy + light to carry. I use this to store stickers for my college planner, but it'll work for any other small items too.
