I bought this set for my mini mill. Small mills have limited head space and shorter drill bits are a necessity. This set has most the sizes I need when making small parts. I work mostly in aluminum and brass or bronze so I can't say how well they would do in harder materials.

Just wish they had a cobalt set.

When I got into milling, I wanted a complete set of bits. These are excellent bits for tapping and have lasted 4 years and still going strong. As you might expect, bits like #8 (1/4"-20 tap, M6 tap, etc) get a lot of use and shows more wear than others. I used these on most aluminum, but also cast iron, steel, stainless, and G10. The split points are the way to go, much more accurate hole location.

Good drill bits. Size is accurate.

These cobalt drills with 135* points are hard to sharpen. Do yourselves a favor and find 118* point set...

I used a couple of these to drill holes in cast iron and malleable steel to tap threads. Very sharp. Nice box too.

Very high quality. Very sharp. This is a very small set of bits they are short. the smallest bit is .040 be sure this is what you want. There is a jobber set that's bigger.
