Grade 8 Frame Bolt. This bolt is identifiable by its Non-Indented Head and flange (built in washer). The Non-Indented Head prevents grease and dirt from accumulating while providing sharper head corners for better wrench fit. The non-serrated flange acts to distribute the clamping load over a greater area and have the same holding power as a washer. Grade 8's have greater tensile strength than Grade 5.
