Nice Replica
Getting back into the world of Airsoft after about 15 years, I initially got a starter kit and then moved on to licensed replicas. I'm an Army veteran, in fact my prior experience with Airsoft mostly involved Airsoft wars in the barracks, so purchasing a M9 replica was a must. At first, I was hesitant to buy this gun due to the number of low ratings, but I'm glad I went with my instincts and listened to the positive reviews. Firstly, the positives. The gun is a licensed replica of a Beretta 92 FS, or US Military M9, and it's a beauty. It has the right dimensions and feel for the Beretta. The slide has a nice feeling pull to it and the hammer cocks back, which is a nice touch. (not always the case in this price point) Details like the slide release and the safeties on the slide are just molded in, the actual safety is on the lower receiver just above the trigger well. I've noticed Umarex likes to put safeties there. This one can easily be flicked with my index finger to put on or take off the safety. The magazine holds 12 rounds and can be speed loaded, which is really nice. I've had no feed issues with this gun. The gun is made from sturdy plastic and has some weight to it, but nowhere near as much as real Beretta. The most important feature is its accuracy. I find this to be really accurate within 5 yards. I don't know about farther out than that, as I do target shooting at home indoors. But, I can attest to its accuracy at that range. Not many negatives. Despite being weighted, it's still on the light side. That may bother some people. The safety being on the right side above the trigger well may also be harder for people with longer fingers to hit. I prefer my safeties on the right side where I can hit it with my thumb, but it's not a huge deal. So, overall, this is a really great gun, super nice for target shooting. It's really nice to have an affordable Beretta replica that I can shoot targets with safely in the house.

Great softshot plastic b-b gun.
To love something really means I'm infatuated by it. Very few things do that to me anymore. That's why only 4 and not 5 stars. There's really nothing negative to say about this gun. I'm very, very pleased with it as a "tool". I bought it because I have mourning dove problems at my house. The things poop up my courtyard fence, my paver bricks, EVERYTHING. Waving my hands and shouting didn't work. They'd just look at me like I'm crazy and not move. I don't want to throw pebbles to chase them away and the hawks and owls don't circle around enough to keep these dirty birds away from my house. They're even stupid enough to lay eggs on my scalloped roof tiles which then roll down and splatter onto my paver bricks....not once but 3 times. Enough powerwashing clean up !!! I really didn't want to kill them. I just wanted them to leave. A friend loaned me a pellet rifle, but with lead projectiles and 600fps speed, I would kill what I shot. Plus if I missed, the momentum would take the pellets onto neighboring property. I don't want that kind of danger or liability. So, no, a high power pellet rifle or CO2 pistol was out of the question. This Beretta 92FS look-alike softshot plastic b-b pistol uses a spring to shoot the pellets. They leave the muzzle at only 260 fps, maximum. Plus, the plastic b-b's are low mass...quite light in weight and momentum. I can already see them starting to arc downward when I stand on the side of my house and shoot to the roof peak, a distance of about 25 feet. Crosswinds also cause the b-b's to act like a curve ball. So, it can take 20 shots or so in moderate winds to "set your range". That's all well and good. After a good number of misses, I finally smacked the mourning dove squarely in his breast from 20 feet away. It stung him a bit and shocked him into a one-foot vertical jump, after which he flew off like a rocket. However, these birds are either stubborn, or not that bright. It took at least two more hits for him to get the message and find another favorite house at which to relieve himself...repeatedly. The range finding issue in the winds or with distance really shortens the travel distance of the b-b's, so the safety and liability factor is non-existent with the distance between the houses in my subdivision. Everything nicely and safely falls onto my own grounds and right near my own house. Since the b-b's are plastic, there is also no heavy metal poisoning of the grounds. The gun comes with a jar of 400 b-b's. I'm down to about 250 of them with my bird problem solved (remember...chased away, not killed). A replacement jar with 1000 or more b-b's can be purchased on-line or at Wally-World for cheap. So, I now have a good tool, with which I am very satisfied, to take care of future bird (or maybe even pack-rat) problems. It's a great pistol for target practice in the back yard, too. The remainder of the time it rests in a drawer until I need it again. It's the best sixteen bucks I've spent in a long time. So, yes, I like it a lot.

Pigeon Popper!
I have a major pigeon problem on my balcony. There is pigeon crap covering the ground, so much so I cannot even walk outside to enjoy the sometimes blue sky in the SF Bay Area. I put up spikes, hung shiny wind mobiles, a large plastic owl...I really want to shoot them dead...but...I can't. So I picked up this airsoft pistol. The packaging sucked. Typical hard to open blister pack that cut my finger. It does come with a Beretta Branded plastic bottle of 500 6mm. 12g white BBs. The gun itself is perfect. With a metal barrel it's heavier than I thought. The thick polymer plastic adds a bit more weight. Fully licensed, there are Beretta markings on both grips as well as Pietro Beretta's name on the side. It shoots about 240fps and I can tell you they farking hurt. I began pigeon hunting and several times shot some pigeons that seemed to shrug off the Beretta branded rounds...I had purchased 5000 round Umarex Soft Air 12g, 6mm, blue BBs...these seemed to work a bit better at scattering them. I was able to shoot a crow off a street light from my 3rd floor apt from about 20 yards away. But, there still seemed to be a lack of urgency...so I found a Crossman black/green swirl 2000 round bottle of 6mm, 20g BBs. I did a test with the three BBs...I shot a box from 10 feet away, only the 20g BBs went through the box. Tested on the pigeons and they immediately took off with an audible thump sound. The pistol itself performs near perfectly. I do get a few misfires every once in a while. The only thing I find annoying is that when I drop the clip that has some BBs in, two will invariably drop. With it's single fire rate, this is definitely not a competition gun...but more of target/practice gun. It's perfect for a novice to get used to the feel of gun in their hand. Something I've been trying to get my gf to do. And with it's high FPS for a spring, it's perfect for shooting critters of balconies.

favorite gun
This airsoft gun is probably the best gun in this price range it shoots very accurate at about 260 fps it cocks very smoothly it feels good in your hand it has a nice weight to it and is a lot if fun to shoot around and the detail on the gun is awesome ... this is really a great gun and the price is even better I had other guns that were even more expensive but this is my favorite gun. I would recommend buying .20 BB's they shoot further and more accurate with this gun

Problems with the Magazine
I'll give this spring pistol 3 stars , but the draw back is it's Magazine. It's hard to load ,due to the spring loading lock is to small to operate and get locked into place so as to load the BBs. After firing off 6 or 7 shots , it starts firing 2 BBs at once, which then jams the gun. Drop the magazine and 2 or 3 BBs fall out.The magazine needs redesigned to make this gun a 5 star product.

Value
Bought this for my son, as a first air soft gun. Works perfectly, shoots consistently, and great value. Canโt believe the price for such a quality item.

Awesome Spring Air Pistol for the Money
I've owned one of these in the "clear" version for over 5 years. It is by far the best spring air pistol I've owned, which inspired to buy two of this version in black, hoping it was the same gun. It was and I'm just as happy with them. These spring air guns just shoot better than most. I believe that the 300+ feet per second claim is true. Other spring air pistols that have a slower speed ratings shoot so badly they aren't worth practicing with. But these are accurate enough to have improved my shooting skills with my real M9A1 (92fs). These guns are also smoother and feel more solid than other guns I've owned/own. I've had a gun that shot as fast and accurately, but it never felt as hefty and sure enough, it broke fairly quickly whereas this one is still shooting accurately pull after pull, even after letting scout troops shoot with it. The only reason this spring air pistol loses a star is because they are quite tricky to load. Once you get the hang of it it's not bad, but even then it's slow and once it's loaded, it's very easy to accidentally push the button that holds the bbs in the magazine causing all 11 bbs to fly out all over the place. You even have to be careful while sticking the magazine into the pistol because it can happen inside the grip as your pushing it in. And of course, this completely eliminates carrying an extra magazine if you were playing a game or something. I would take two stars away for this, except I have a feeling this tricky system is why this gun is so reliable and accurate compared with some of the other junk I've bought for the same price.
