It looks better in the sale photos.
The item delivery was unfortunate, the men could not lift it complete just for. parts. I want to replace the damaged lathe parts. These are the tailstock crank, the protection that covers the machine where it carries the Baileigh sign and a switch that broke...But they do not give this option, only all lathe can be changed, not the parts.

Lots of problems
I Still in the process of setting up. I fabricated a mobile base for the machine so as to not be limited on shop space. The directions and manuals are ridiculous. Printed in another country. Very difficult to understand. If I didn't already have a background in lathe work, I would be screwed. For this kind of money there should be very good instuctions that are easy for the lay person to comprehend. This is my second piece of Baileigh equipment. I have the BS 210 band saw which is awesome. Once I get the machine set up and runningI will update my review.I have the machine set up now. Something as simple as assembling the stand was a battle. The bolt holes are in locations that almost make it impossible to assemble. I was ready to tack weld it together. The base was not designed to support the weight of the machine. The cast iron base of the machine is very narrow, sitting on a light weight ‘tinny’ structure, the base. The bolts supplied are not long enough to go through the cabinet. That was a trip to the hardware store. Once it was bolted on the base I immediately noticed the machine rocks back and forth. This will require making steel sub plates to stabilize. The lathe motor would not turn on. After pulling gear cover I saw the contact switch for the cover was misaligned. There again it was a battle accessing the adjustment. The crank handle for the mill head ‘up and down ‘ does not fit the shaft. Crank has a straight key way mill. The shaft has a tapered key milled on the shaft. At this point Baileigh is ignoring my phone calls. As best as I can see this is a cheap Chinese takeoff of another machine that they talked Baileigh into putting their sticker on. This machine is overpriced by at least $1500. Once I get into the operation I will update this review.A few months later the battle continues. Did not use the lathe function until now. When the tool was brought to the rotating piece the motor stalled. Was sent a new motor by Baileigh but that wasn’t the problem. After many pictures sent to Baileigh service tec and many long conversations walking me through testing circuits on the internal boards, we think it’s a bad speed control board. Now keep in mind what a process this is. I’m not an electrician. The back of the machine is torn apart, wires hanging everywhere in a space that would only fit a babies hands.I will say the service tec has been very patient and helpful. (I don’t have time for this). Waiting for new speed control board to arrive.

Expect to spend a lot of time working on this before you can use it
We have one of these at work under a different name and found it was very poorly made. This is a Chinese tool which required a lot of time and effort to make operational and even then the results are marginal. You're much better off with a separate mill and lathe as these combination tools have all the issues of both tools individually but make working on them much more difficult.
