Simply fascinating!
This is a simplified explanation to something complex. I agree with the rabbi within who says this book is worth reading more than once. I had it out from the library but decided to purchase it. Shortly after delving into it, a dear friend, a man who studied his religion, died. As a Unitarian, I was able to understand more of his funeral due to my reading here.

Indispensible Introduction
This guide is a great introduction to Kabbalah, as taught by Beni Baruch. The writing is very very easy to read and comprehend at a superficial level, while it makes you think extremely deeply at each subsequent reading.Like any book full of profound information, it merits multiple readings over a period of time, and each time I pick it up, I see things a little differently, and in many cases a little deeper as well. Different aspects seem to be emphasized each time I read it - which likely corresponds to the various levels the book is written on.It is a great companion to the Bnei Baruch online classes. The two complement each other extremely well, and while you can do one without the other, the two together are powerful catalysts for growth and learning.Highly recommended!

The truth about Kabbalah
This is the real deal on what Kabbalah is all about. This is an essential book for someone who starts the study of Kabbalah and takes the free online courses with the ARI institute. The Rav Michael Laitman is connected to authentic Kabbalah though the direct linage of Rabbi Yehuda Ashlag (Baal Hasulam), so this is not just some type of "POP" Kabbalah. The book is broken down into various topics as most of the "Idiot's guides" are, and this is especially helpful with the teaching of Kabbalah. If you are ready to study authentic Kabbalah then one could find no better place to begin.

Kabbalah book
This book offers a lot of information, although a lot of info seems outdated, as the book is old. Also, I was interested in Kabbalat Shabbat and this book did not have any information on that subject.

A Bit Hard To Follow
I tend to need a very straight forward instructional book that teaches me about the topic I am interested in. This book tends to bounce around a bit. I am 1/3 of the way through, and it still doesn't make much sense to me, thus I have lost a bit of interest. I am going to give it a try again or order another book in a different format.

Complete Idiot's Guide to Kabbalah
I have been studying Kabbalah for about three years now, and in my opinion, anyone who buys this book will get a real idea as to what Kabbalah is all about. It dispels all the myths about Kabbalah, and points the serious student in the right direction, and informs them how to continue their study. This book is easy to understand and hard to put down once you start reading it. Don't be fooled by the title. It is by know means for Idiot's

Brilliant and easy to understand
I bought it because the titles from 'The Idiots Guide to' are great. This book is a great refresher for my personal practices and beliefs. If you are new to Kabbalah, then I highly recommend this book as a starting point, just wet your tongue.
