Lavazza Kafa Forest Coffee Whole Beans, Single Origin Ethiopia, 100% Arabica 1.1 Pound Bag (Pack of 6)

I have an automatic coffee maker at home so I prefer to buy whole bean coffee. Lavazza coffee is one of my favorite coffees. This type of coffee is very soft, without bitterness and without sourness. It has a great aroma and is the best coffee to start your day.

Great beans. Well rounded body not too bold and not too full. Great aroma for concentrated form or espresso

Makes a good cup of coffee by itself or mine with other Lavazza coffee beans.

Just ok, not worth the higher price

This is a real dark roast from Lavazza. Since I roast my own beans it’s unusual to find a good commercial dark roast. It is a bit expensive.

I’ve been buying Lavazza Qualita Ora for several years, at least 100 bags. QA is an exceptional medium roast, so there is a high bar for the Kafa. I bought the coffee based on advertising by Lavazza & I was hoping for a taste better than the QA based on the ad. Nope, no joy there. It reminds me of the dirty mermaid’s coffee, slightly burned in taste and a bit muddy. I use an Aeropress to brew with a Breville frother/heater for the milk.The Kafa bag was full of air, not vacuum sealed, so it’s probably stale within a few months.I’m dumping the rest of the bag; luckily I have Qualita Ora in my pantry.

Wow!! These beans make just about the most delicious coffee I have ever had! Very intense and rich flavor with almost no bitterness whatsoever. I have a Jura Z10 and so far I have only made a couple of Cortados with this; can't wait to try out some other drinks with it. This may just become my daily go-to!!
