CreativeChatmax HS-620 Gaming Headset

Incredibly Fragile
The headphones are decent, the quality dips quite greatly at higher frequencies. Bass etc. is great, but they aren't for listening to music that's for sure. The microphone captures wonderfully though, sounds like my actual voice! So at first these seemed great for what i got them for as they were on sale. However, the product is beyond fragile. I'm very conscious of taking good care of my devices, however today, I got the rather long cord wrapped around my leg and when I stood up the wire snapped. The product had ZERO damage before this incident and the wire snapped clean through, as if it was cut by a knife. Ten days after the return policy ends of course. I only had this product for one month.Pros: Good microphone Nice padding on the earsCons: Headphones quality suffers at higher frequency Incredibly, Incredibly FragileAgain, i am a very conscientious person, taking great care of my devices. This one very minor slip up cost me quite a bit of money and frankly, a product like this should be able to take more of a beating. My last headset was $20 dollars, had better sound quality, and lasted years. Do not buy this product. Very disappointed with creative on this one. I don't think I will be conducting business with them any further.

Almost perfect
I'm using this in combination with a USB adapter and GoToMeeting. It is comfortable and keeps the noise out. The sound quality is very good. The volume control and microphone switch are less than ideal; it's hard to see when the microphone is turned on or off. I personally wish there was a version with USB connector, but I understand that USB cannot take full advantage of the great sound capabilities of this headset.

There are better options out there.
The sound quality is good and pleasant to my ears, the speakers almost fit around my ears but some sound escapes and gets picked up by the microphone on occasion. The mic being removable is a nice idea, but I get a lot of static, my voice is only somewhat audible even with my settings maxed out, it occasionally picks up the earphone speaker sound as previously mentioned, and the awkward shape around the microphone connection jack greatly limits the option for a better microphone. I suggest avoiding this if you are looking for a good headset; hell, there are cheaper and better headphones than this out there if all you want. My first headset was Plantronics and that had stellar quality and a microphone that wasn't garbage. Those only broke because of years of wear and tear, this was poor build quality, right out of the box.

Microphone broke
The microphone stopped working after less than 1 year of light use.I've tried many different headsets, and even some 10 dollar ones lasted longer. I've had best results so far with Cybe........ headsets, and will stay with those. This is the second model of Creative headset's I've used, and both of them have had problems. I won't buy them again.

Pretty good headset
This creative labs headset is pretty good for the price of I got it at, around $30-$40. Sound quality is good, the bass is there, the sound clarity is good especially when you're playing video games. And the adjustable microphone is a plus. However, the cord is a bit too long and can prove to be naggy (although this is minor). Another issue I have with this headset is that it hurts my ears (although I have very large ears and a large head). Minor adjustments are required from time to time to make it sit comfortably on my ears. Overall, this is definitely a headset to consider for the price it's at, a good product imo.

Good Value
I purchased these headphones needing a microphone for speech recognition, as well as for listening to music. First, the good. The headphones fit fairly well after adjusting for my rather large head. The padding on top and around the ears was very comfortable, and I was able to wear them for about an hour before starting to feel a bit uncomfortable. Sound reproduction was surprisingly good, as all levels and tones were presented pretty accurately, from deep bass to high treble. I was able to turn up the volume pretty high, with no noticeable sound degradation. There's a volume dial on the cord, which was helpful and easy to reach. You can also hear ambient noise from the room while listening to music, though it's muffled. The detachable microphone also works well. I fiddled a bit with speech recognition, and the mic seemed sensitive enough that it was able reproduce my input for the computer. It may be a bit too sensitive, as it also seemed to pick up ambient sound from the room. There may be a setting in Windows to adjust for this, but I don't know. Overall satisfactory results with the mic. Now, the bad. The cord is very thin, and I can't help but think that where the cable plugs into the left earpiece is where breakage may occur. The cord was too long for my purposes, so I had to zip-tie the extra length (not really a big deal). The biggest negative I have with these 'phones is occasionally there's a popping sound when turning my head, most likely caused by the plastic casing being torqued by movement. Not really a big deal, but it's occasionally annoying.Overall, I would recommend these headphones to anyone. For comfortable music listening or gaming at around $30, it's a pretty good value.

Piece of Garbage, no exchanges.
I ordered this hoping that I would be able to enjoy a nice game. Got the item, plugged it into my computer... only one headphone worked... tried my mp3 player.. same garbage... wife's ipod... same. I don't know how well the mic works because i was so disgusted I put it back in the box to be refunded because they will not exchange it. They looked pretty, did not work at all. You would think a company as large and well known as creative would have some sort of quality control, but obviously not.

Sound is Great.Microphone takes sounds like it'd be very far. It's useless.I need to buy another headphone around there because of this failure on the microphone now.
